Relaxing place to stay.

Place is perfect for a relaxing weekend rest, but we stayed just for 1 night while doing the Camiño and was a heavy rainy day and night, so we couldn’t see or enjoy any outdoors rural activity.

Loved our 2-night stay at lovely Casa Mindela

Casa Mindela is an old family estate. It has history and charm, and the accommodations are gracious, clean, with lovely antique furnishings. Gracious staff. Wonderful breakfast. Spend a day exploring the historic center of nearby Vila do Conde. Have lunch there at the Garfo Torto by the quay, and visit the Lace Museum and the Customs House visitor center as well as clambering around the Nau -- a reproduction of a Portuguese sailing ship of old! Casa Mindela was a short and easy drive back to the Porto Int'l Airport, and it was a perfect way to end yur holiday in northern Portugal!

This venue is unique in its rustic charm. As a former working farm it show cases a era of long ago in its architecture furnishings and ambience. We regret we didn’t stay longer!! Helene was a delightful hostess and very attentive to our needs.

It is a beautiful historic country home renovated into guest rooms. It is a bit out of the way from restaurants but Helena ordered a great dinner for all the Pilgrims walking the Camino

Lots of space

Great location, close to airport for early flights from Porto. Great smells of farm yard, open area for kids to run and play. Well updated rooms with hot shower and lots of space for kids.

Hotel in ruhiger Lage

Ein Hotel mit besonderer Atmosphäre. Die Zimmer waren in verschiedenen Gebäuden rund um einen großen Innenhof verteilt. Der Innenhof lud zum Verweilen und Ausruhen ein. Die Zimmer selber waren nach altem portugiesischen Stil eingerichtet. Auch die Anzahl der Gäste war überschaubar, was wir als sehr angenehm empfanden. Sehr freundliche Atmosphäre und freundliches Personal.

Beautiful Country Mansion

If you need a place near Porto, this country guesthouse is amazing! The staff is super welcoming and helpful and our room was exquisite! We had an enormous room with a living room, two bedrooms, and bathroom. The entire hotel has been recently restored and the furniture and decor will all take you back to a long forgotten time. The breakfast in the morning was also fabulous. Not to be missed hotel!
