"What a lovely place! Really friendly welcome & good to have a dip in the pool after a long drive. Super dinner & breakfast (although takes a little time to be noticed at the door). Very well appointed room in the annexe although we could not get the bathroom heater to work on a rather damp evening. Definitely recommend!"

"The hosts were very welcoming and helpful with information places to visit etc. excellent parking adjacent to room . The property very clean well decorated and traditional French . Great location for base to visit places such as Amboise and tours highly recommend this B&B will certainly return if back visiting this area . We stayed for three nights."

"Wonderful host who was happy to give us tips for excursions and other interesting information. Breakfast with homemade bread, jam, fruit smoothie and fresh crepes as well as homemade cakes every day. Rooms on two floors, fully cosy and stylishly furnished. Quiet place, perfectly located for visiting the countless Loire castles. We would love to come back!"

"Very nice hotel in the near of the center. Great room , very clean, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom ( new ). very warmwelcome by the personnel. Very helpfull. If you stay please stay also for the dinner wich is excellent and not expensive. I would certainly stay there again."

"A lovely place to stay - a well appointed apartment in delightful grounds. Quiet and peaceful but easy to get into town for dinner. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming. A very pleasant breakfast was served outside in the garden. Highly recommend."

"Hotel is excellent; has off road parking and two large sitting areas, one interior and one exterior. Owners were brilliant and couldn’t do enough for us; very friendly. Sadly, there was only one other person there and this was in the middle of August. We just loved the multi coloured rooms: very different and refreshing. "There were dozens of bugs in my bedroom. When I brought the issue up to staff their response was that they "thought they took care of the problem this morning" and that they would simply vacuum up the bugs instead of properly cleaning the room or offering me a new one. The issue was not resolved and I told them I could not stay at this hotel if they could not find me a clean room. They refused to refund me the value of my stay because it was too late for them to rent out the bug infested room to...

Luxury behind the plain façade - a hidden gem

"The hosts were fantastic. We were provided with luxurious accommodation set in a large acreage of lawn and wooded grounds. The large house wash elegantly furnished. The hosts joined us at breakfast and we had many fascinating discussions on numerous topics as well as recommendations of visits to suite our interests"

Beautiful hidden gem

"The couple that own the property were very friendly and welcoming. Our check in was quick and easy. The room itself was beautiful. The bathroom gave that little something extra. We sat in the garden until the sun went down. Breakfast was fit for a king and was a wonderful finish to a superb stay. Highly recommend"

"I stayed here because of business. I selected it due to the location. What I found is a gorgeous place with excellent service that I would certainly return to. This is quite a romantic setting. They do have a restaurant, but I did not eat there. The parking is ample and easy to use. "

Fantastic stay in every way

"Warm friendly welcome on arrival. Great communication in the run up to our visit. François was the perfect host full of ideas and information on where to visit and weather updates. Stayed in the penthouse apartment. Beautifully furnished immaculately clean amazingly comfortable. Lovely outdoor private patio and garden area. Fantastic grounds. Would highly recommend Le Grand Saint-Marc. Thank ypu again François "
