"We have rarely been welcomed and cared for as warmly as we were by Antonio, his wife, and his team. The room was newly renovated and of a very high and modern standard. Breakfast was excellent and we loved eating dinner at the restaurant as food was great with excellent value for money and extremely friendly service. "Absolutely lovely hotel in a stunningly restored Renaissance palazzo. We booked for one night and ended up staying three nights. Spotless clean, excellent service, and tasteful rooms in a scenic little town with few tourists. Ideal for day trips to Asti, Alba, Fossano, Cuneo, and other culturally relevant sites in the Piemonte. We fell in love with Mondovi, its excellent restaurants, and the calm genius loci. Barbara and Massimo, the owners, gave us a tour of the palazzo and the neighborhood....

"We were staying 4 nights at the Jolly Roger Hotel. Fantastic staff, comfortable Hotel room, great view over the beach and a very good breakfast made this a stay to remember. A bit of noise from the trains passing by, but all in all JR deserves full score! "

"Room was not as described online, 2 single beds instead of a double (states online that the room sleeps 3, but nowhere for a 3rd person to sleep - lucky there was only 2 of us), smell of stale smoke as soon as you enter the room, no toilet roll provided, no towels provided, unclean room and balcony and incredibly run down, states online that parking is 5 euro per night and they expect 10 euro per night when you arrive. We are not fussy people and often sleep in hostels but this is not a 3 star ‘hotel’ - it should be a 1 star! "
