Our trip to Spain
We stay at the Holiday Inn Express because it's in a very good location for our journey to southern Spain. The hotel is well run, clean and the staff are very helpful. The town of Vitoria is a short journey away about 5 mins where there is lots on offer. There is also plenty of parking outside the hotel. Overal good value for money

The hotel was clean and the staff very nice. Had a little trouble getting the a/c to work and there is an interesting feature of a frosted glass window to the bathroom so when someone gets up in the middle of the night the whole room wakes up with the light

Vitoria Napoleonic reenactment weekend.
Hotel was easy to find and very well presented. Great to find a kettle and tea making facilities in room, just a little sparing with the milk though. Hotel reception was understaffed and took a long time to check in. Excellent restaurant and bar across the car park.

All ok, friendly and helpful staff. Dreadful but convenient and quiet location. Some of the fittings and fixtures are beyond their useful life,( tap worn out, some room fittings tatty), but room very clean and bed comfortable. Good breakfast included and I am happy to stay at this hotel again due to convenience of location.

Good stopover between France and Spain
Excellent stopover hotel, excellent rooms and friendly staff, made the overnight stay very comfortable. Breakfast was good and plenty of choice.

Apart from persistent trouble with the email, this is a great place to stay for a transit to or from the south of Spain or for a visit to the resplendent city of Vitoria, especially if you have an interest in the Napoleonic wars

The hotel is ok but not great. The rooms are not as described on hotels.com as they don't have 32" TVs only very small probably 20"ones. ( not great when we wanted to watch the England game ) . Also they don't have tea/coffee makers. We argued with reception and they eventually found us a kettle. The excuse was removed for Covid ! There is no 'pillow menu ' either and the beds aren't that comfortable. Check in is slow with passport details needed and forms to sign. However the staff are friendly enough. Location is good, near the motorway but the only nearby restaurant is poor. Looks very modern but poor cold food. Buffet continental breakfast was nice in the hotel. Not sure we would stay again

I had booked a queen bed none smoking and they gave us a smoking room and they came and sprayed it and you couldn’t breath. We had to open a window, but very bad service

Nothing more than I expected from Hoilday Inn
The hotel is ideal for anyone travelling south to Portugal as it is ideally placed just off the main motorway in the industrial estate area of Vitoria. Nothing glamourous. Free parking. 24 reception which helps when you don’t know what time you’re going to get there. Hotel room was basic. Bathroom door was falling off. Bath tap diffuser did fall out. As we had arrived at 3am, I wasn’t going to bother to complain. Breakfast was adequate. Flies thought so too. I’ve stayed here a few times when on my travels and I would say this time was the worst experience. Waiting to hear back from some clothes we had left behind. Our fault obviously. But no response after 36 hours.

Comfortable stay.
Stayed here on our way to the ferry in Santander. It's a very comfortable hotel, with excellent staff, a good breakfast, and free parking outside the hotel. There is a good bar/cafe/ restaurant opposite the hotel. However this is the only alternative close to the hotel, and if you want to go into Vitoria Gasteiz your either have to drive or get a taxi, €15 each way. There is a bus but it takes 40 minutes as it picks up at all the stops. I would definitely stay there again if I am just travelling through, as it is quiet and convenient, and easy to access there main roads in and out.

Very pleasant stay.
Stopped here on our way down to Spain. Easy to find, with good, free parking in what seemed to be a safe area in front of the hotel. The hotel was very comfortable, very good wifi, comfortable quiet room, tea and coffee provided in the room. Breakfast was "continental", and more than adequate. Very helpful staff. The location was out of town, approximately five minutes drive by car. Across from the hotel is a popular bar and restaurant, providing good reasonably priced food. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and next time and take a taxi to see more of the town and surrounding area.

An ideal stop-over with friendly helpful staff .
As regular visitors we know the hotel is an extremely convenient friendly place for an overnight stop-over. The staff are always helpful and friendly, the breakfacts excellent and the stroll across the road for an evening meal is always a rewarding experience.

A stopover on the way from the UK to southern Spain it's an ideally located and very friendly hotel. Food is from the restaurant a few yards away and the hotel is more that sufficient for n overnight stay

Ok Hotet not the best.
We travelled from uk to porto. So decided to stay at this place. It is ok for a one nighter. Bathroom were good. Modern. Breakfast was awful. Everything was cold. So on our return back we going to skip the breakfast. It is a busy hotel, guest in and out. I wouldn't recommend it. You better of staying at san sebastian enjoying the view the beach and then onwaRd travel.
