"Well, I got there and no one was anywhere to be found. It was a blizzard outside and I had already booked and paid for the room. i used the couch in the front lounge for some nap time because it was already 3am. Called the phone repeatedly, and walked around the entire hotel for a good 30 minutes. Just wanted to sleep. Finally a maintenance man walked out and found me and he still couldn't find the attendant. Finally got into my room an hour and a half after I arrived. Room was fine, but you need to have a staff person there, or at least have a number that will ring them directly. "
"This was our first stay at a MyPlace. We usually stay at IHG hotels (Holiday Inn, Staybridge etc) but have considered MyPlace a few times but the price saving isn’t that significant compared to most IHG with free breakfast, hot tub and points. This trip was for a specific event nearby and I booked way in advance so I got a great price. The hotel was nice, clean and in good shape. Staff was friendly and helpful. There were a few disappointments though. The rooms have a small kitchenette with fridge, 2 burners, microwave, sink. But no kitchen items? No glasses, utensils, plates, pans etc. I thought maybe you had to check them out from the front desk, which seems reasonable. I went to the front desk and they said you bring your own or they have some available for purchase. All I really needed was a spoon for yogurt and they had plastic utensils so that worked. So be sure to pack whatever kitchen stuff you might need. There was a drip coffee maker with one day worth of coffee supplies, but they also had coffee in the lobby. There is an ice maker in the fridge which is great, but when I made ice it tasted terrible, like musty water. I didn’t notice it until mixed a drink and even that wouldn’t cover the taste. I thought maybe it just needed to run through whatever water was in the lines, so I made a few batches over the next few days and it was still bad. So all in all, it was fine just be sure to pack your own kitchen item and smell the ice before using!"
