È la seconda volta che torniamo in questa struttura e siamo felici dell’esperienza. In generale, ha il miglior rapporto qualità-prezzo dell’isola, è ben collegata ed offre una bella vista sul porto ponente. Unica pecca: il rooftop vista mare è sempre chiuso. Struttura consigliata

This is our third time at Mari del Sud in the past six years, and unfortunately, we’ve noticed it’s slowly declining. It’s a pity, because the resort has such great potential, so close to the sea and the beautiful Sabbie Nere beach and head a beautiful swimming pool. One major downside is the lack of a transfer service from the harbor to the hotel. We had the service during previous stays, and most hotels and resorts on the island of Vulcano still offer it. Although the receptionist said the hotel is walkable, I wouldn’t recommend it if you're traveling with elderly people, as I was. We ended up having to call a taxi for both directions, which cost €15 each way. Breakfast is good and the staff do their best, but the number of waiters is insufficient for the volume of guests. The swimming pool opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 7 p.m., so if you're an early riser or looking to unwind after an excursion, it’s disappointing to find the pool closed. Housekeeping cleans the rooms daily, which is appreciated, though again the limited number of staff means your room might be serviced late in the day, often when you're back for a siesta. I really hope Mari del Sud will go back being the resort everybody used to love.

Hotel molto bello. Le camere hanno eccellenti rifiniture e sono con aria condizionata. Eccellente la colazione. Gli spazi esterni e la piscina in pietra sono molto belli, ampi e verdi con alberi e molte piante. Lo scenario è unico sulla baia di Ponente a Vulcano.

Outstanding Staff

Beautiful grounds with a view of the smoking Vulcano, absolutely stunning. A fantastic pool and beautiful black beach make this a really fun hotel. The service is fabulous, the staff really cares about making your stay comfortable.

Non si può certo pretendere condizioni impeccabili alla fine della stagione, con forte vento e pioggia perdipiú. La réceptionniste qui parlait français était adorable ai si que le mr qui conduit la navette au port. La chambre était fraiche et propre, la grande salle de bain agréable. Les espaces vert magnifiques, la piscine belle. Le petit déjeuné est tres bien , salé et sucré en quantité. Le seul problème était que nous avons passé une mauvaise nuit car les volets sont des persiennes et les rideaux n’étant pas occultants la lumière des éclairages innonde la chambre la nuit et le soleil se lève dans la chambre. Hormis cela c’était une belle experience avec un super personnel.

Peccato struttura molto bella, ma tenuta male, servizio scadenti colazione mediocre 0 assortimento e pochissima capacità nel servizio alla clientela, necessita di manutenzione ordinaria prato secco, grondaie bucate, angolo grill non in funzione, terrazza lunge bar l'unica della baia non ancora attiva, nota positiva il personale alla reception molto gentile e disponibile, ottima posizione per gli amanti del mare inoltre una bella piscina

La struttura si presenta bene, pulita e accogliente. Anche il personale è gentile e disponibile. La grande pecca sono i servizi, essendo venuti i primi giorni di settembre forse è considerata bassa stagione, ma non è professionale avere il bar della piscina chiuso e per dover comprare anche una bottiglia d’acqua dover uscire dalla struttura. Giudizio finale: bella struttura ma consigliata solo nei periodi di punta, quando i servizi e l’attenzione sono da quattro stelle.
