Great hotel with spectacular views and nice wellness with infinity heated pool. Breakfast was delicious and staff helpful. Definitely we will repeat.

Great location, and perfectly situated on its lot, with excellent views from the patio of the entire valley and up to the mountains. Breakfast is excellent. Dinner buffet is adequate; one can enjoy a really nice dinner ordering from the menu. It's a large operation, but not overly crowded (except, perhaps, in the tiny outdoor pool).

So unhappy with our stay. Old building so I understand the small room size but we booked a triple room and there was no space for 3rd bed. View of car park not mountains. No ventilation. Food was awful lukewarm risotto and charged €10 for a single glass of grapefruit juice. Pool area would have been nice if not packed with children who thought the infinity spa pool was a playground. Not relaxing.

Great hotel
We made our reservation the last minute, thus taking a suite. It was a great experience, even though a bit expensive. Breakfast had a huge selection (even though I did not like the coffee). We used the swimming pool only once during our stay. Sorry we did get to do it more. One day was very hot, and we missed having AC. Coffee machine in our room was too challenging for me. Did not succeed making even one cup.

Nice family stay
Overall hotel was ok but I wouldn’t rate it as 4 * hotel.. Stuff was amazing and ready to help.. pool are outside could have been bigger.. restaurant was nice with many choices of food..

Gorgeous!
This was a truly gorgeous hotel. It is a grand old hotel newly renovated with the addition of spas and pools under the majestic Tatra Mountains. We loved in particular the hot pool outside where you can look at the mountains from the warm pool. It is a short walk from the village center where there are lifts to the mountains and restaurants. Food was good too. The only critical note I would add is that the art works were all reproductions of masters. It would have been more in keeping with the character of the place to adore the walls with the works of local artists/ depictions of the mountains or local scenes. But otherwise wonderful; we will come back next summer.

What seemed like a great property on Expedia, turned out not quite filling the shoes of the “Grand Hotel” nameplate. The building is indeed very imposing and attractive from distance. However, upon closer encounter you feel the lack “grandness”. In two days we spent there there was only one person smiling, I could be spoiled, of course, coming from the US, but everyone seemed so cold... Even my kind request to give me a free extra hour to check out was met with a simple “no, or pay €10”. The worst part was the most intense tobacco smell all over the common areas coming from the bar. I couldn’t stay in the lobby for a long time... Having said that, the room was quite pleasant with one major flaw: what they call a queen bed turned out to be two single beds put next to each other: two beds, two separate mattresses with a gap in between. If you sleep with someone you’d like to hug in ned, someone will end up in a ditch :) Minor annoyance was the broken shower hose, but it is just another sign of not quite meeting the standards of the “grand hotel” The spa area is great with a good choice of saunas and pools. The infinity pool views are amazing. The location is great, above the town, but be warned the approach is quite steep and you need to walk up to go back to your room.

The hotel was in the hill just above the small town. It was a beautiful place and very relaxing. The spa and hotel bar were both ideal for unwinding after a walk in the surrounding hills.

nice old treditional hotet in very good condition; good located, good food, stiff friendly, very good service, exept reception partly stuff, some girls has snobish reflection. part are not proffesinal enough, try to give lae w grade room, (telling that it is impossible to change room, just whem I tried to call another hotel, imidiatly found the girl a better room...) that is the way to show as 2 girls in reception can demolish the whole positive reflection of agood hotel. (she said that this is the tipe of room Epedia customer should get...)

This hotel made for a wonderful weekend in the mountains. The pool facilities are phenomenal particularly the outside infinity pool is divine! Overall we had a great experience here and would highly recommend this hotel.

Couldn’t be better!
Absolutely perfect stay. Amazing breakfast, comfortable bed (upgraded to a room in the new wing), bikes for rent, hiking trails out back, and plenty of spa activities to keep us relaxed & entertained. We went in the springtime, so it’s wasnt very busy at all. Had great weather too! For management: I think the parking lot in front of the outdoor infinity pool should be grassed over, and access should be allowed to the pools & hot tubs until 11 pm (9 pm close made sense for saunas).

Perfect hotel
The hotel is perfect, amazing breakfast, high class hotel, beautiful indoor and outdoor outside in the snow. Bed was great, room very very spacious. Perfect perfect hotel. One comment, check out is 10 AM, too early. HB dinner not very satisfied. Better include only breakfast without dinnner. I moved to a hotel Resort Horizen, for the next night, which has better score in hotels.col and TripAdvisor, but this hotel is much much better in any aspect.

Relaxing stay in a fine hotel
It was really excellent and I can only recommend the hotel services especially wellness, food and beautiful and comfy accommodation. The rooms facing Tatranska Lomnica offers breathtaking view.

I don't usually leave reviews like this, but we didn't have a good stay, mostly because of your service staff (bartender, server). I work in hospitality too, but I would never treat customers like that, I would be probably fired. And I am a really nice person/customer. Instead of giving your service staff white gloves, they should learn some manners. They kinda ruined our dinner and overall stay. We also booked massages, disappointed too. On the other hand, two ladies from front desk reception were really nice, forgot their names. Breakfast was really good also. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone, very disappointed........

Nice hotel with a great spa
Room was not fancy but updated, clean, and comfortable. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed the spa. No food to be had at the hotel or anywhere in town after 8 pm. Breakfast was really good.

Grand 100 year old hotel
Probably one of the nicest hotels in the High Tatras for a 4 star. Rooms were nicely renovated. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good but I would not recommend 1/2 board as dinner was not good. There are plenty of other dinner choices nearby. The spa was very nice but I caution that there is nudity in the sauna and steam rooms. The outdoor pool was delightful. It is walking distance to town and to the gondola to the peak.

Everything was OK but expectations were higher
The hotel looked amazing from the outside but definitely needs an update from the inside specially the rooms. Bar, restaurant and spa were very nice. Spa could be open a bit longer. We stayed in the standard room. The room furniture was old, the shower was super tiny and there was no A/C which is something a 4star hotel must have! Staff was very nice and helpful.

Old hotel at nice place
The hotel is very old and requires reconstruction and renovation. It is related to almost everything inside the hotel. There is only one elevator, which accommodates maximum 4 passengers without luggage. Standard rooms are different by size and some of them have no balcony. Most of balconies are very small. There is no air conditioning in hotel rooms, therefore it is necessary to keep windows open in summer. That makes the room full of night butterflies in the evening hours. The ventilation in the bathroom wasn't cleaned for many years and it fills the bathroom by smell of used many times and kept wet old rag. Furniture in rooms is composed from what has remained at hotel storage and doesn't correspond to declared 4-stars hotel level. The dinner in the hotel restaurant, included into half-board is very strange. It doesn't include drinks, even water. If you want a glass of water, you have to pay for that extra. Dinner courses look nice, but have terrible taste.

Late ski trip
The Hotel was fantastic. After a hard day skiing or walking the mountains, relaxing in the Spa and Sauna was just what we needed. The staff were very friendly, and the food great. We will be back.

Amazing spa facilities. Food was fantastic with great service, the staff seemed to really take pride in their work and looked after us.
