"Spent one night here and was upgraded to a larger room it was quiet as it was the end of winter. Very well maintained quiet and clean would have enjoyed the outdoor area if it had been summer. Would definitely stay again particularly in summer as it’s located right across from the beach."

"When choosing this beautiful location we were originally looking at staying in Opotiki (15 kms south) but decided this was a far better option based on the ammenities and views offered. The price was also less than staying in your standard motel in town. Our host was there to meet us and made us feel most welcome explaining the options and set up. He recommended a wonderful restaurant for dinner ( The Royal) and we weren’t disappointed at all. The surrounding area is rich with native birds including hearing a Kiwi when we arrived in the late afternoon/evening. The native bush and giant pohutukawa trees were magnificent and relaxing and we had an amazing sunrise to wake up to the next morning over the pacific ocean. We definitely will stay here again in the future and have already recommended it to our close friends."
