Friendly staff, clean environment and Walker Mn as a whole seems nice. A short drive can give ya a beautiful views of Leech Lake. I'd most certainly stay here again.

This was our second time staying at this hotel and we would stay here again. Rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast is great, the pool is clean, and the staff is friendly.

The location is excellent!! Walker is a great city. The Country Inn is showing its age. The sink in our suite’s barroom had marks on it that looked unclean, but probably was a result of cigarette or burn damage from years ago. The lighting in the king suite room was insufficient. One small lamp. The bathtub/hydro tub was super tall which seniors can’t navigate safely. This hotel in today’s world needs an elevator to the second floor. The concrete and parking lot are showing their age. We paid a high rate for both nights, and have stayed here years ago on two occasions. The property is in decline like all older structures.

Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and had many options. At check in we were treated to chips and salsa and a trail mix snack bar. Hotel is very close to the Heartland bike trail which connects to Paul Bunyon trail which is the longest bicycle trail in Minnesota. Staff allowed us to extend out check out time to by an hour which gave us enough time ride the trails before checking out. Staff were very friendly and easy to talk to.

Although the hotel is doing renovations, it was still clean. The staff was very friendly. We have stayed here several times over the past ten years and this was the best stay we have had so far. We stayed in a newly renovated room and it definitely was an upgrade.

The front desk staff were extremely helpful, friendly, accommodating, and kind, especially Jennifer (I believe was her name). She greeted me by name whenever I came and went. We stayed at the hotel for business reasons with two other guests. We needed to stay on the first floor of the property in order to be able to use a wheelchair. The only negative we have in that regard was that there didn't seem to be a ramp from the handicap parking into the front of the hotel and we got stuck a couple of times on the gap between the asphalt and the concrete sidewalk. Also, more grab bars in the bathtub/shower would be helpful to elderly folks or those with disabilities. Otherwise our stay was great. Hot continental breakfast was good, with an assortment of other breakfast foods which was a pleasant surprise to us. Rooms were clean and appeared to be well maintained. We didn't have time to use the pool or hot tub. Also, I had stayed one night last year around the same time and the staff at that time didn't appear to be as professional as the current staff. I did have some concerns about rebooking because of my perception of the previous staff. They sat around outside the hotel smoking quite a bit. That was not the case on this visit. Therefore, I highly recommend staying here while in the Walker area.
