"I love staying here when I visit the island. It's close to the casino and everything downtown. Never have any complaints about the staff, real down to earth people. The rooms are clean and we never have trouble sleeping due to noise."

"2 x pest repellers in the room. Pillows were flatter than cardboard. Blankets were thinner than a sheet of paper. A room on the first floor had keep out danger- asbestos tape on it, not very inspiring for the other rooms. Surrounding area was full of addicts & sketchy looking people. Otherwise, staff were very friendly."

"What an amazing stay! From the moment you arrive in cowichan bay to when you open your curtains to see the beautiful bay, your stay at cowichan bay suites will feel like you've teleported to a small fishing town filled with wild life and friendly people. The hotel is beautiful, cozy rooms with full kitchens. The hot tub and pool are a nice feature for after a day on the beach just steps from your patio doors. I will be making this a yearly get away!"

"The room was Reno’s recently and so beautiful! Nice touches like heated mirrors in the bathroom, tons of hygiene products, soft close cabinets, great design, and ocean view! The staff were so friendly and helpful. I texted everyone I know that stays on the island to tell them about it. Would definitely stay again!"

"The British Columbia southern gulf islands are special by any global standard, and each of the islands has a unique character based on its geography and community. Our stay at the Mayne Island Resort allowed us to experience the best of Mayne Island. The accommodations were perfect for a great night's rest and preparing a nice meal (or taking advantage of the on-site dining room) after a day of sea kayaking in Bennett Bay, Campbell Bay to the north or waters to the south, toward Saturna Island. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool (spa area) and appreciated the easy kayak launch site on Bennett Bay and easy walking distance to the Gulf Islands National Park area along the northern shore of Bennett Bay and southern shore of Campbell Bay. We particularly enjoyed sitting on our patio in the morning savouring a cup of coffee and watching / listening to the birds. We're not birders per se, but within a half hour or so each of three mornings were able to identify (through their songs using the Merlin app) 23 to 25 different bird species including three species of swallows (Purple Martins, barn swallows, violet-green swallows), and frequently saw raptors such as bald eagles, osprey and a red-tailed hawk, along with a blue heron. ...and we sauntered down the road for a really great craft beer at Mayne Island Brewing on two afternoons. This is a not-to-be missed part of the Mayne Island visit. Overall, Mayne Island resort was a great place to unwind and find new experiences."
