"Be aware that this is a residential property without your own entrance. It is in a shabby and unsafe feeling part of town and the pictures are not representative of the property at all. Owners uncontactable in any way. As a single traveller, I did not stay here as i felt very unsafe on arrival. Expedia are yet to support me in the process and i ended up paying for a second property."
"The room I had was roomy and clean, bathroom/shower again clean and spacious. Equipment and white goods suited my needs. Entrance to the room a little dark as outside lights didn't react early enough. Overall I would book again if in that area."
"Lovevly night away! Hosts made it so easy and hassle free. Room was very clean, had a peaceful nights sleep! Had dinner down the road in a pub called the wheatsheaf! Which was very nice!
Rutland water is only a 15min drive!
Thanks again to the host! "
"Excellent accommodation. 3 on suites is just wow in a 4 bedroom house . Plenty of room , very clean super facilities in kitchen ,Huge off street parking . 5 stars all round "
"Lovely little house, with everything you need for a home from home.
Downsides- there is child lock on the Wi-fi, not good for a tradesman working away. Cold house- woke up every morning shivering. Wasn’t sure how to set heating timer. And next door there are elderly neighbours who must be deaf- they are night owls and I’m sure their tv is directly opposite the wall of bed stand. Was maybe 2am before all was quiet. Also nothing to do with house but there were scrambler bikes going up and down...
"Thank you for a wonderful stay at Rivernene Cottages. Hosts Stephen and Phil were amazing and could not do enough for all the guests. We stayed in the Yew Tree Cottage, as a family of 4 (2 teenagers) this was perfect!
The entire place is immaculately kept. The sweeping garden was a great place to chill out by the bank of the river as well as the delightful heated pool which was used many times during our stay!
Cottages are very well equipped with everythjng you could need for a short or...

"We've had a wonderful two night stay, in an ample sized room for two people, which was clean and well supplied with the essentials. Comfortable bed with a choice of pillows, additional chairs and space to work or nake snacks. Very helpful, friendly staff who try accommodate all requests and queries. Very ample food options for breakfast and veggie options on request for hot food. Flexible options if you need food to go too. Despite being near the dual carrage way it was quiet. Definitely would stay again."
"This site was just greenspace on the edge of an industrial estate when I grew up here and it seemed a little weird pulling into an area where I had my first driving lessons on a Saturday morning as it was all but deserted over the weekend. Not now, there's a busy looking pub literally staggering distance away, the ubiquitous Greggs, few other structures the purpose of which didn't register. Very quiet, all I can hear is doves cooing.
Staff friendly, nice to even have staff, last place I stayed was largely automated so only other humans were fellow guests.
Complimentary breakfast, none of this £15pppn extra nonsense and much better than any £15 rip off offerings. Lots of guys in work gear and German accents so probably popular with service/installation engineers working at operations on the industrial side.
One minor issue is the size of the car park. It didn't look to have much space when I checked in around 4pm, and was lucky to get the last one when I returned around 9pm after dining out. Does puzzle me as to why - in a era of expanding waistlines and growing obesity - are parking slots getting narrower? I'm not exactly Captain Lardy but even with sensibly/centrally parked cars, one needs to be like Stretch Armstrong or a contortionist to get in or out of the car without injury to self of damage to vehicle!"
"Very nice hotel inside - few wear and tear items but nothing I couldn't live with. Staff were always friendly and nice, often having to deal with some perverse remarks from other guests.
They respect your privacy, especially if you're there on business or for confidential reasons."
