"Pleasant staff, comfortable room "

"Absolutely fine, was welcomed by a thoroughly nice chap who checked us in etc. Room was up in the rafters but was nice, comfortable bed and a magnificent bathtub. Spent an hour in the bar and enjoyed that, drinks were reasonable price and it seemed to be quite full. Had to leave at 06:00 to catch ferry so didn’t eat breakfast. Only negative was the toilet seat was quite loose and I felt a little uneasy sitting on the pan, expecting it to slip off at any second. Absolute not a show-stopper...

"My 4th stay at the Shah. The staff are as good as you can get (Thank you).I stayed 3 nights.The 1st 2 nights in room 6... nice double room.Amazing powerful shower and a huge bed. The 3rd night I was in room 9~a single room.I think it was near or over the kitchen,there was some sort motor running all night.maybe the fridge or freezer..it was load enough to keep me awake. The food was very good pub grub and large portions. "

"A few of my colleagues have stayed here over a few nights and said how lovely the owner was and he assisted when Expedia didn't send through the booking quick enough but was kind enough to put up in an upgraded room at no extra cost to ourselves - highly recommend and will definitely be using this accommodation again when my trainers are down that way."

"When we got there the manager said we owed money in which i had to show my reciept paid in full the hotel said full english breakfast all was there 2 cartons of opened juice cereals tea coffee toast very bad considering theyre advertising breakfast the windows you couldnt lock. The room smelt damp The light in the bathroom kept flicking on and off everything was dusty in the room and blood stain on the wall The grove arms isnt telling the truth the steps into the back building are a death trap...

"So glad we booked this place rather than a large hotel in the area that we were considering. The room was gorgeous with a big bath tub (we chose one of the big rooms). Check in was easy, staff were v friendly and accommodating despite looking after the restaurant too (special mention to Ashmi who waited on us a couple of times in the restaurant). Food is fab, especially the Sunday roast. We managed to get parking on each of the 3 days/nights we were there. The only thing to note is that the...

"This is my second stay here. Loved it the 1st time so came back again as the price was within my limit for work. Would have booked 3 rooms next month but the prices are well out of our budget. Also charged for the mini bar that I did not use!! "
