Thumbs up for the Elm Tree.
We had a very quiet and comfortable overnight stay @ the Elm Tree Motel. The bed was comfortable and the facilities look to have been recently upgraded.

When i check in the staff can't gind my booking ,we don't know what happened?but the staff arrange us to nearby hotel, that was helpful,but this agent was terrible,this is my first time use to make a booking !

We stayed here for 2 nights in January and were very pleased with our stay. The room was clean, neat and modern and the managers were very helpful and friendly. We would absolutely stay here again when driving between Adelaide and Melbourne.

Festive season rip-off
We paid $280 a night for this motel during festive season, which we were ok with, despite the quality of the motel would only fit with the price of $150 max. per night. Hotels.com is obviously taking a lot. Apart from the price, the carpet has stinky feet smell that lingers. Sheets and towels were clean and fresh. The chargable snacks were out in the open waiting for a naughty kid to open one or all of them, which is just sneaky. The service might intend to provide convenience but a motel room which is already way too over priced wants to charge for even more just for snacks is just killing all the goods that it poorly offered. The room is also quite noisy as it is right next to KFC, the drive through makes part of the noise, the staffs who takes smoke break make up other part of the noice. Would not go back again, if anyone travels along the road from Vic to SA, choose other small towns to stop the night would be recommended.

Thank you for your review. We find this review very upsetting as we usually have great feedback about the cleanliness and quality of our rooms. Guests generally appreciate the range and price of our snackbar. An option in future could be to place the plate of snacks in the cupboard if you do not want children to have access. The items are placed there for convenience.None of our staff smoke.As for price, that is that reason why we always encourage guests to book direct, as our prices are comparable with other accommodation providers in Warrnambool. Regarding noise, our usual guest feedback is our rooms are surprisingly quiet being close to the main road. The noise can be minimised further if you close the bathroom door during the night.We apologise that you had this experience during your stay.
