Wat Nong Pla Lai

Great sized bed. Too bad there waa cigarette smells everywhere, even inside the room. Would also benefit from a key drop, as checking out was unnecessarily lengthy.

The location was amazing. Right in the heart of Chinatown in the midst of a bustling night market. The rooms were extremely spacious and comfortable and the staff were all fabulous. The buffet breakfast was one of the best we have had in Thailand.

Hope Land was probably best in its heyday, some 40 years ago: marble floors, nice architecture, grand lobby.. BUT in 2026, all I saw was a dilapidated piece of filthy room. Will not stay here again. The breakfast buffet was so-so: cold baked beans, lukewarm scramble eggs, instant Nescafé, seriously no freshly brewed coffee.. it was disappointing. Thankfully as a frequent traveler, we only booked two nights to try. We are visiting our son who is a digital nomad. Hope Land is across the street from his apartment (Sky Walk), near the W-Market. Well, unless one tries, one won't know. This location on Sukhumvit s perfect; just not this hotel. I would stay away from this hotel.
