"Tru by Hilton in Pflugerville, TX was a very pleasant surprise stay. We stayed 15 nights over the Christmas / New Year's holidays and from customer service to housekeeping to honoring our request for a top floor room away from the ice machine / elevator - yeah this was a great place to stay in so many ways. Breakfast in the mornings hit the spot and was decent quality in the offerings - which was different most days. Pool was nice, but a bit cold out to use - thought about it though. Plenty of close to the building parking available. Lobby store was crazy well stocked and the TV's / pool table was a hit pretty much every night. Big high five to Jimmy for always being anxious to help and just chat, say Hi!, and recommend places to eat. Let's talk the room... Bit on the small / cramped side - but in essence just a place to crash, so no biggie. AC will freeze you out if you want it cold! Couldn't get comfortable with the pillows - too soft for me, so bolstered with pool towels in the pillow case. Bed was a king - not the most comfortable, but good enough. Internet was hassle free. TV choices good enough, nothing special - though free HBO. Bathroom - best I've experienced in a very long time! Large shower, plenty of room for two to get ready, and you could take a 15 minute hot hot hot shower and it wouldn't fog the mirror!!! Take a lesson other chains!!! Vent your damn bathrooms!!! One big big caution - the shower pan in our room was slippery! Not just a little, but a LOT! Lik"
