"Location is great, view off the back is beautiful! This is my 2nd stay and kinda regret my choice. Wish I read my previous comment before booking. I actually was given the same room I had last time. The bed was even more uncomfortable than I remembered thankfully I was traveling solo so I laid all the pillows out to add some comfort. I don’t think the room had been used in awhile as there was some debris on the sheets where it was folded down. Not a huge deal as I never sleep under the covers and bring my own pillow and blanket. But woke in the night and wanted the fan on for the white noise and couldn’t get it to work. In the morning I looked at it and it was unplugged, no biggie I plugged it back in. Well the reason it must’ve been unplugged is because once you turn it on you can get it to shut off w/o unplugging it. Everything is very outdated and my initial thought was it was nostalgic but you need to invest in what you have. Decking needs to be replaced, mattresses updated and most hotel rooms at least include a microwave now a days."
"We had to call maintenance as the tv was not working. The room that we had, the closer on the door was broken so we had to pull the door closed and pull it open. We have come here many times and I have to say this was the worst experience! Also we paid the same amount we have paid in the past and this had a tiny bedroom. Not like all the other rooms we stayed in!"
"The inn was full of old New England charm. My room was spotless, bed was comfortable, and all the amenities were there.
On the first floor was the restaurant, where I had two delicious meals- one was Paillard chicken which was exceptional. In the lobby, they provide marshmallows and roasting sticks, which you can take out to the fire pit nearby and have a perfectly toasted marshmallow to top off the evening.
I used the indoor swimming pool and spa three times during my two night‘s stay. It really helped to work out the kinks from traveling on the road and added to the overall stress relieving environment.
Charming, homey, well managed, clean. I can’t say enough about this wonderful inn."
