Not from round these parts! lol ) we did visit the area after everything had closed for the season mostly. All the boats were wrapped and lifted out of the water for the oncoming winter frozen world ! I’d like to return and visit the onsite across the street at waters edge, tiki bar. Plus sadly Wadkins Glen , the gorge not the speedway , was almost fully closed to visitors . Which sadly I failed to research fully in advance . fyi. The entire village of Wadkins Glen is a full 18 wheeler destination due to the very large Salt Mines on that end of the lake. Which, by the way, supplies us Americans with about 95% of our salt both table and medical ! Wow ! So they pass right by on the road between the hotel and the lake . They weren’t obnoxious . For fun if you have kids they can stand out on the deck and give the truck drivers the honk the air horn sign ( pulling a rope at head level ) that’ll keep em busy for a few!"
