"The Grand Oriental is a wonderful building. Unfortunately it has been unsympatheticly renovated many years ago and is tired and worn which maked it difficult for staff to keep it clean. On the plus side its $1.50 $AUS tuk tuk ride any nunber of great places. It's got a great dinnig room, open all day And the staff are terrifically helpful And it was only $35 aus a night. I arrived at 1.30 am and it was a bit of a shock but after 4 nights I'd stay there again "
