"Everything. The Octopus was memorable, relaxing and welcoming. From the charming bures to cheerful service. And the beauty of the water is unsurpassed. "
"antastic place to spend your time.
Mantaray Island about 3.5 hours from the main island in Fiji in the Yasawa Island group, is a beautiful little hamlet of paradise.
I spent 5 nights in a Reef Bure (With AC) an was extremely impressed with the cleanliness and general upkeep. The outdoor bathroom is an absolute highlight with its 3 different light/mood settings at night. The Bure itself was also only 12 step from the beach with its beautiful torquay blue water.
Great snorkeling is on offer straight off the beach (High tide only) and a lovely hotel pool for low tide.
The Restaurant served amazing meals on a set menu that changed every 2 day’s (B,L,D) and during the day you can swap your lunch meal for a pizza by the pool if you like, the resort also offers diving (Which I didn’t do this time) and a Spa that offers a limited but good range of massages.
The Hotel is a cashless hotel, so you don’t need to have a wallet full of cash like I had.
Overall this is a very good 4 star operation in the Yasawa group, and I am definitely looking to come back in July-September next year when the Mantaray swim past the Island.

"Hands down the best resort we’ve ever been to. The level of service and sense of family combined with such beauty were just unmatched.
Will definitely return one day!"
"Very authentic real Fijian people who are genuinely interested in you having the best time possible doing what you want to do. They want you to feel like it’s a home away from home and I wholeheartedly recommend it for people who don’t need or want a resort experience but want a real Fijian one"
"Had a fantastic time at Waya Island Resort. I wanted to celebrate my birthday somewhere special and this exceeded my expectations. The arrival and property is so majestic, the staff is excellent and very helpful. I loved the snorkeling excursion so much I did it twice. And of course, the massage was one of the best I've had. I felt very lucky to have found this gem of a resort."

Holiday rentals are privately owned properties you can book for a few days, or a quick weekend, in Wayasewa Island. Holiday rentals offer amenities such as patios, hot tubs and fire pits so you'll feel just like you're staying in your own home.
