Disappointed
I felt bamboozled. The internet pictures and what was reality did not match. I took pictures of the filth. I was scared to take a shower; the tub did not look sanitized. It was a roach in the sink and the ice in the refrigerator. It was ants in the bed. It was a horrible experience. There was an odor that would not go away in the hall. I would post the name of it, but it was an illegal drug odor. However, the staff was nice and pleasant. If the funeral services were not close by, my family and I would have left.

I stayed here years ago and was satisfied and that led to my staying here this time. Front desk staff is very pleasant and helpful, parking is ample and well lighted. Entry and hallway appear to have been upgraded, that's the end of any positive impressions, furnishings are worn and dated and there is no telling when the room had a thorough cleaning (dust balls around the edge of the room as well as the seat of the couch. If it weren't late in the evening I'd be seeking different accommodations.

I didn’t like the fact that the cleanliness of the place was subpar. The waffle iron had not been cleaned in a awhile and the bathroom had mold. The fridge was not clean and although HBO and Wi-Fi was free; it wasn’t enough to overlook the things that weren’t up to standard. Moreover, the pool was not clean.

we did not stay at Econo tthis place should be condemn toilets with ring around the inside hand washing bowl filthy, smoking around the pool and seems like prostitution going on the plant Volt People, and the solar people were filthy, dead plant in the foyea just waful. You run the place the way you wan to but i plan to contact the Health Dept. no place should be run like that , their should be rules and consequences and seems like there isn't any,, the front desk clerk was very polite and tried her best. we had to go to another hotel ans one night couln.t get a room. This is the second time my husband and I have traveled to Waynesboro for different family members funeral service. The 1st time, we were there there was hair and specks of blood around the toilet. At 1:00 o’clock in the morning someone that has up stairs from us, we thought they were bowling. My husband did notify the front desk. My husband was going to the door Saturday morning, when he opened the door there was a guy that was at the door with a key card trying to get into our room while he was her intoxicated. This visit is by far the worse, and we will not be returning to stay at this location ever again. This is sad!

Staff was not at the front desk when we arrived and after waiting for at least five minutes, another guest went to find them. There were roaches in the bathroom. Breakfast area coffee machine was broken, no individual milk containers, one gallon container for everyone to share, no eggs, just sausage links. Overall the place gave me a creepy feeling and the room was not clean.

Bed was comfortable, room was clean so meet basic needs. I did kill two bugs and heat-A/C was super noisy. Reported to front desk on departure. They are trying to update, floors have been updated as have bathroom fixtures/vanity, but needs more work. Walls are pebbly surface and should be changed, paint lines very messy and gives place messy feel.

The entire room was dusty! The ac has mold, the bathroom shower curtain and tub was dirty. It still had the soap and shampoo used by the previous guest sitting in the shower. The light above the sink didn't work. Also the fire alarm was missing.

I was given a two twin bed. I reserved and paid for a king bed. There were roaches in the room and one in the shower. Im beyond upset and I will nver stay at this hotel again nor will I ever stay atab econolodge. Horrible.

If the first cockroach was enough, the two others running around eluded my strike. If it wasn't late and this was the only place, which it was, sleep in your car.

This hotel is very outdated, it doesnt have a elevator and my room was on the 2nd floor, so imagine having to haul your suitcases up two flights of stairs. The bath tub was DIRTY & missing the safety handle. There was other guest that had kids running & yelling in the halls at 2-3am.

Disappointed With My 2nd Visit
Second time booking while visiting area and I was not as pleased with my stay this time. Refrigerator in room did not work properly... never cold enough even on high setting. Remote control to TV was filthy and sticky. Shower head was broken and I showered in thin sprays of water. Tub faucet was also about to fall off tub wall. Room floor was not cleaned very well. Table in room had not been wiped clean from last guest. The free breakfast bar was pathetic. This area was untidy while 2 hotel employees lounged in dining area talking. Breakfast ended at 9 so, when I arrived just before 8 a.m., I thought there would be a large assortment of food. Instead, there was only several bags of oatmeal, a single muffin, and a few sausage links. The only positives I have with my 2nd stay was the bed was extremely comfortable as it was in my first stay and the new front desk clerk was a little more pleasant.

The worst ever
The first room the bed wasn’t made. The second room they gave us had roaches, no hot water. It smelt like smoke. The tub was filthy. The hallway had a major water leak. A bucket had to be placed in the hallway

The place was a dump. Absolutely no maintenance going on. Torn lamp shade, toilet seat with missing nut on one side so the seat barely stayed on the bowl, no soap, no face towel, wall in bathroom in need of repair and the room had a horribly strong smell of some type of cleaner when we entered.

The bathroom had cockroaches in it, which then made me question the overall cleanliness. The toilet was broken and the charging docks didn't work. The room was well presented but the roaches ruined it for me. If hotel staff observe people entering the hotel with food, at least walk the corridors and collect refuse discarded by room occupants. The breakfast was adequate but bread was stale and no tongs anywhere to pickup food.

Enjoyed the clean room and comfortable bed
Clean hotel with no elevator. We had to pull our luggage upstairs to 2nd floor. Very nice free breakfast bar. Beds were extremely comfortable. Had a great nights rest. Staff were not very sociable. We startled overnight clerk when we woke her as we left the lobby on our way out. She wasn't too happy.

Great staff - amenities sub par.
The staff at this location were very kind and helpful. However, I do have a few minor concerns - the TV remote was connected to the cable box, but not to the TV. (again... very minor, but irritating) Additionally, the breakfast hours were posted 530a-930a. When I arrived for breakfast at 0900 everything was put away. Lastly, the breakfast food was cold and unappetizing.

Hotel inside & out was filthy. No soap because “the truck never came in” (there was a walmart about a mile away. Maybe make a trip & buy some?). No napkins for “breakfast” (sparse, nothing filled). Apparently the napkins were on the same truck. I found out by waking the breakfast attendant who was sleeping on the couch.
