"The room was extremely clean, the staff friendly and helpful. Bar and dining area clean and tidy with lots of cosy corners to hide in! Would definitely recommend and will stay here again if we return to Bristol!"

"The guest house is great, the room is great, the location is great... but the bed is awful. The mattress was mega soft and worn, which made it impossible for two people to sleep properly as we both rolled in towards the middle. Terrible night's sleep. We were in room 10 - maybe the beds in others are better, and if they are, we would come back as everything else was lovely. But as it stands, paying to not sleep isn't great. "

"Great location for visiting Bristol. Hotel a little run down. Staff friendly and enthusiastic but a little bit inept. Over complex air con and heating system a particular issue. "

"Fridge wasn't actually cold, jammed outer window that wouldn't close so there was consistent traffic noise from being next to major road. The fan/heater unit system is ancient, full of lint / dust and very ineffective -- particularly the heater setting (not very warm and would turn off after a couple of minutes). General cleanliness not great -- hairs etc in the bathroom, dirty carpet. There was also the most annoying buzz coming from various electronics in the room and the plug system to turn off wasn't accessible. No view, literally just multiple major roads. Bedding average, mattress not comfortable (hard). TV had option to connect own device, however this did not work no matter what I did. Extractor fan in the bathroom very weak and ineffective, annoying as the only available mirror with ample light is in the bathroom -- there is a long mirror in the bedroom but too dark to use. Small, rough and thin towels -- many of which were stained."
