Burtreeford Mill, Cowshill This large three-floored corn mill is built into the riverbank so the top floor is level with the top of the bank. The water wheel was driven by water from both Killhope Burn and Sedling Burn. It was built in the early 19th century and was used until 1939. Room was amazing, very clean and spacious and very comfortable. The staff were all polite and helpful but Adam looked after us really well. Despite being run off his feet, he always had time for us and ensured we had everything we wanted. It was a very relaxing and peaceful stay.
