"The staff met us on arrival with a very friendly welcome. Took us on a tour of the AB&B
and what to expect the Breakfast and code for the front door. They posted the breakfast menu and asked if we need anything special. Coffee, Tea and Snacks were avalable 24/7. The rooms were clean and the staff made up the room and fresh towels
everyday. They had information about tours, restaurants and beaches to go to.
They were available for any of our needs!

"I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience here was disappointing enough that I feel obligated to share it.
On our first full day, my fiancée and I left the room around 10:00 AM. When we returned at approximately 3:00 PM, the room still had not been cleaned. At 3:20 PM, we called the front desk and specifically requested housekeeping. We were assured the room would be serviced, and because we wanted to be accommodating, we left the room again so housekeeping could access it. We even received a callback confirming the request.
We spent the next hour and a half on the patio waiting, assuming the room was being cleaned. Around 4:45 PM, I checked the room and found that nothing had been done. At 5:00 PM, I spoke with the front desk, where an employee confirmed a housekeeping request had been entered around 3:30 PM and said someone would be there shortly. At that point, the situation became stressful because we had dinner reservations and needed to get ready. The room was finally cleaned around 5:30 PM—more than two hours after our initial request.
Later that evening, we asked for a couple of bottles of water and were told that guests only receive two complimentary bottles for their entire stay and must purchase any additional water from the vending machine. Fortunately, another employee, whom I believe was named Nick, stepped in and was extremely helpful.
The bathroom also felt less than clean, and the shower caddy was visibly rusty. Spend extra $ if staying in Hyann"
"Whilst this hotel was extremely clean, spacious and had a brilliant pool and beach area it is extremely dated.
The hallway smelt, the decor is dark brown and awful pine furniture.
There was no safe in the bedrooms which as a non US traveller is a must. Only 2 towels were provided for 3 people, no bathroom mat and no hand towel. The air con whilst worked was loud and cumbersome.
Breakfast had no fresh fruit and every thing had to be put into a single use bowl, plate, you name it."
"Summercamp is walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in Oak Bluffs. It has a large front porch with oversized modern rocking chairs and a view of the lake. It is also a short walk to the ferry and the bus stop that takes you to Edgartown and Vineyard Haven. It was so easy to get around.
The Property Manager, Kate and her entire crew had the best hospitality that we have had at any hotel. Everyone was so professional, pleasant and accommodating.
It is not how something goes wrong but how the staff manages it:
When we arrived, there was unexpected groundwork being done. When we returned from a walk, there was a front loader and a sewer truck working right outside our bedroom window. We asked to be moved to another room. The Manager, Kate, personally came to speak to us and explained how it was historical septic that had caused a sinkhole and it was all being removed but wouldn't impact our plumbing. However, she offered to move us to another room and credited us the difference. She also had champagne and treats waiting for us in the new room. (It was my sister's 60th birthday.) The work was completed the day we left. It was not something the staff could predict or prevent. However, the Manager, Kate took the time with us to ensure that we had a nice experience for our first time at Summercamp.
We will be repeat guests! Thank you to Kate and her crew!"
"This hotel is perfect. It has recently been renovated/refreshed. Decor is lovely, everything was clean, amenities were just what you need and bonus: a big sink and has comfy beds/linens and easy to park load/unload. We did not visit the pool, but it looked clean and well maintained."
