"I loved my room and the amenities during my stay here, but I chose to rate the property 3 out of 5 stars because of my experience there as a person of color. I received a lot of negative interactions by both staff and guests, perceivably because of my skin tone. While other POC employees were very friendly, the intentional delays of service and derogatory comments (in both English and other languages they thought I wouldn’t understand) by white employees and fellow guests in the lobby and on the elevator would make me think think twice about choosing this venue if you are not white. Also, be wary of extra service charges added to the bill, whether you utilized room service or not. "

"The gym is on the side of the building and I wouldn’t feel safe in there Bc anyone could sneak in. So it doesn’t feel safe enough with an exterior entrance. Even tho key is required "

"Kimpton La Peer used to be my favorite hotel in LA but regrettably I won't be returning. The room that I received was right next to the service elevator making it extremely loud in the mornings. It was not thoroughly cleaned as I found rose petals underneath a chair directly in the line of site. The A/C heater took a while to actually work so I was either too cold or too hot for most of my stay. The carpet was stained and the room had a slight smell to it. Upon checkout I requested that my EV be charged and was told that Valet was behind but that it would be taken care of. I waited for over an hour and apparently they forgot to plug it in. I'll give it three stars for the excellent location but overall I do not feel it was worth the $1200 I paid for 2 nights. "
