Motel 6, West Lafayette hotels

"The lobby , sitting area and breakfast area were great. However, sitting on the couch with a cup of coffee it was hard to hear the tv because a speaker with music was just above. The music was lovely for all the other areas. We were hoping for a nice area outside to sit and relax- the sitting are is a couple of picnic tables just outside the front door on top of gravel-several times with smokers. Our room was very clean, spacious and loved having the kitchen area with pots, pans, etc- even though we didnt need to use them. Our door was obviously hung wrong- it was crooked and light showed through at the top, and I could see slightly in our room when looking near and below the lock. We were there 3 nights. If I had not caught someone in the hall- we would not have extra towels- no one emptied trash or cleaned. Staff very friendly. Location good."

"Everyone was very friendly. Saw maintenance man in hallway this morning and even he was outgoing. Warm cookie at checkin was nice lagniappe as they say here."

"I wasn't impressed with this hotel. We were only there for a few hours. But the room felt and smelt damp, like it had water leaking issues. We NEVER saw any leaks, so thats just an observation. The bed was ok, but seemed to make you roll to the middle. I personally didn't eat the breakfast. The eggs were very watery, so I decided to pass on breakfast. My husband chose to only eat a yogurt, which is super unusual for him. And my son would only eat the bagels and toast. We will be looking for a different place next time we were in the area."

"The faculty did not have an elevator or ice machine. The bed and the staff were above average. The place looked like it was in a third world country."

"Rooms smelled antiseptic...at best, women of "questionable" reputation in parking area, ROACHES, ripped carpets in hall, ripped drapes in rooms visible from outside. DID NOT STAY, checked in to attend a nearby concert returned found roaches in room and checked out immediately."

"It’s a place where people stay and actually live. We arrived late and it took an hour in a half to check in because their check in closes at 10:00pm. So it was after midnight. No ice machines nor coffee. The rooms were spacious but the fire alarm went off when I had the water running for a shower. I had to call the after hours number to have it turned off. Over all it was clean and comfortable. Oh , you have to bring your dirty towels to the front desk in order to get fresh ones. ( which was weird)"
