L'Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles

4/10 Poor

"Check-in is listed as 4:00 PM. I arrived at 2:00 PM and was told I had to wait for a text message—one that never arrived. I approached the front desk again at 4:00 PM, only to be told that my room wasn't ready. At 6:00 PM, my room *still* wasn't ready, and I really needed to rest; I actually had to argue with the front desk staff just to get them to assign me a room. I truly wasted a lot of time, which is why I'm giving it two stars. Everything else was fine, with the exception of the pool, which was very dirty and clearly lacked maintenance. I honestly do not recommend this hotel; if you're visiting the area, the Golden Nugget right next door is a much better choice. I regret staying at this hotel."

"I live in hotels full time for the past 2 years. I've stays in hundreds of them. This is by far the worst. Bugs everywhere. I had to buy bug strips because of how many flys. Also the ceiling drips. It wasn't raining either. Who knows what liquid it was. But it will drip on your bed. Blood on the walls. Bed sheets dont get changed ever. You will have to sleep in dirty sheets."

"Booking the property was the best part, although our room was cleaned, it was not cleaned very well, the shower doors was dirty, water spots all over, we made it to the bed and yes it was in fact was nicely made up, however the blanket and cover sheet had what looked like makeup on the edging the pillows & slips appear dingy as if they have not been changed in a few stays. We’ve booked here several years ago and the place was very clean and managed, not now, for the price they’re asking, we don’t recommend. Nasty Nasty Nasty"

"I never write reviews but I felt it was needed for the next person to see before booking. Worst hotel I have ever stayed at, it’s dirty, gym doesn’t have any Ac, saw multiple roaches, breakfast was absolutely disgusting, toilet was stopped up when we got there and other guests had the same issue, shower ran out of hot water and was going in and out of water pressure, I asked to change rooms and they said they property was fully booked although there were only a few cars in the lot, so the only employee in the building was in my room at 3 am changing cords and trying to get the tv on, he went back to change the remote because it was out of battery as well and the tv still did not work and lastly the phone in the room wasn’t working either."
