"This is a very old hotel with all the charms that brings so don’t expect a sparkling new hotel but we loved for those idiosyncrasies which is the part of the hotel."

"Reception staff were efficient and welcoming. Jess in the restaurant was fantastic! So kind and helpful and just generally lovely. The only downside to our stay was the man in charge of the pool on our first night. He was entirely unhelpful when we arrived at 7:20 for a swim (last entry is 7:30). My 5 year old was clearly in her swimming suit ready to swim and he stood smoking and leaning against the door and said he wasn't letting anyone in because he needs to shut the pool and put the cover over and that. He said it opens at 7 tomorrow and when I told him that wasn't suitable for us he still wouldn't allow us in. I spoke to reception about this and the lady who dealt with me was great but understandably annoyed that he was telling guests something different from her. We were able to swim the next evening and the man who was there this time was no bother. It was such a shame as the pool was the reason we chose to stay here."

"The room was lovely and spacious, wonderful shower and nice and clean. The reception staff were lovely and helpful. The hotel is in a nice location, very quiet residential area. The bed was super comfy, so nice to have air con to regulate temperature in the heat. The breakfast was included with the room stay- it was pretty basic and seemed a bit disorganised. I wouldn't pay for it separately."

"We stayed in the Davenport suite.Lovely big comfortable bed with beautiful white crisp sheets and big soft towels.The two young ladies in the restaurant were superb,very helpful,courteous and professional.Lovely setting but thought the grounds could do with a little bit of attention.Would definitely stay again."
