All the little extra touches - such as bathrobes and slippers. daily complimentary water, chocolate etc - were truly the icing on the cake. The staff showed a real pride in working at the Castle and truly helped to set the atmosphere. Check-in and out were brilliant. "Our room itself was clean and quite adequate. Not very quiet though, music carried thru the pipes and arguments in the hallways were very audible. The carpet in some of the hallways needed cleaning. The key cards never worked more than once and had to be replaced about every time we left the room. The layout of the hotel was also strange with a lot of switch backs through corridors to reach the lobby."
