"OK Lodge is just a name; what is is is a (nicely) extended and converted terraced house opposite a park; so now a few studio flats, with some common areas. Modern and clean but a couple of issues - like oven not even wired in; no table to eat off; and also whilst we booked for 3 adults and was confirmed; they called to say max was 2 adults & a child and would not refund the extra £50 for the 3rd adult (who couldn't now come of course) and I had to go through Expedia to get resolved. "The view from my accommodation and also that of my family members in the two next door was way better than the picture - literally 'tree tops' - looking across the Kent countryside through mature trees. The terrace was perfect for sitting out. The rooms were modern and really lovely, air conditioned, well equipped and with a sliding Japanese style door for privacy when the kids were in bed. The reserve was so peaceful"

"Location of hotel was perfect . Walking distance to town beach across from hotel . Local bus service available down the coast . Our room was very nice . Housekeeping , cleaned well and relished daily . All staff were polite and pleasant . Breakfast was disappointing . Not displayed well . Request for poached eggs took forever each morning and were like hard boiled eggs by the time they were received . The breakfast layout just looked a mess ."

"We stayed 1 night before our cruise. The hotel was quiet & very clean. The breakfast was excellent - great variety. Being American, I needed help with the coffee machine since it was different from what I was used to. A server was very friendly and quick to help. Our 2 teenage grandsons (picky eaters), were able to find enjoyable foods and were filled up! Love the beans at breakfast! Florida Family"

"This was a beautiful small hotel, 8 rooms over a pub in the centre of town. Each room is different but mine (room 5) was amazing. Large bedroom and a spa line bathroom with a tub that would be perfect for wine and a bubble bath and a separate rainfall shower. Breakfast was included with a good sized menu. All the staff was friendly and helpful. There is no elevator, so you are carrying your luggage up and down a lot of stairs, but the staff always jump in to help. This property is owned by a local brewery and the room comes with a bottle of beer."

"Overall, it wasn’t a bad stay, but it could have been better. My children really enjoyed the pool, and the food was good. The only major downside was that the room didn’t have air conditioning, which was quite surprising since every hotel we’ve stayed at has had it. The heat made the room quite uncomfortable, although the fans provided did help somewhat."
