"No air conditioning in the room, lack of plug sockets next to the beds to charge phones, no wake up service, no fridge in the room for cold drinks. I will not be booking this hotel again."

"We are currently staying at B&B Hotel in Lille and unfortunately we are a bit disappointed with our experience. The hotel is around 15 minutes away from the town centre, which was not very convenient for us. The parking is acceptable, but since it is separate from the hotel, it was a little difficult and inconvenient as well. The room itself was quite basic ,and the towels looked old and worn out. We have stayed in other B&B Hotels in different places before and had much better experiences, so this stay did not quite meet our expectations. On a positive note, the staff were pleasant, but overall we expected better compared to other B&B Hotels we’ve visited."

"Stayed one night in a deluxe room which was located in the converted attic space. Room was very large although quite dark with only a skylight with fixed curtain over and very dim lighting available. The shower worked well although leaked a little, the sink is located in the bedroom area not the bathroom and the furniture is sparse and dated. The flooring was painted concrete slabs. The bed was comfortable enough. Replacement bedding including quilt was piled on the side and no information was provided in the room i.e wi-fi password, breakfast info etc. It also at felt like the room had not been fully prepared for guests. The male staff member greeting on check-in was a little terse but the female staff member at breakfast and checkout was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was quite limited by menu choice but acceptable and pleasant enough. The location itself is central to the main areas of Mons which are all easily walkable including all shops, restaurants and sights. Overall the hotel served the purpose for a brief stay but would not like to stay in the allocated room for any longer period as was not a very relaxing space."

"This hotel is one that I will definitely return to when I'm in the area. It is modern, clean, comfortable and the staff are very helpful. The room was large, very clean and had all the amenities needed. The bed was extremely comfortable, as were the pillows. Breakfast was ample, with a cooked option (scrambled egg and bacon) as well as all the normal continental breakfast items. There are board games available and a pool table, and a couple of comfortable lounges to have a drink if required. If I have a small quibble, it is that there is no lunch or dinner available in the hotel at the weekend, but there are plenty of excellent restaurants a short drive away. All in all, a definite 5 star rating from me."

"It’s a long time since I stopped at a Campanile so on my drive back from Italy to UK thought I would give it a try. The barracks style looked tired but was clean. The room decor was Spartan. The balconies in the accommodation block were very tired and full of smoker’s evidence. I had dinner and breakfast there and although the breakfast was basic, it really was fresh and wholesome. The dinner was ok and half the price of the hotel the night before but hardly French quality cuisine and in hindsight I wish I had gone offsite to seek a better offer. Parking was handy. I think next time I will book a traditional hotel."
