The owner took a personal interest in our comfort. The overall setting was very pleasant and peaceful. Breakfast offered a variety of options, with staff at the ready for questions or assistance.
The guest house itself is in a quiet neighborhood, squeaky clean and cozy. The service is good, breakfast even better and the WiFi is excellent.
What makes this place exceptional is it's hosts, Renette and Dries. Genuinely warm hearted and down to earth people. Staying at their place felt like visiting family. But unlike (at least my...) family, they knew when to leave you alone. That's an art, I think.
Fully recommended.
This is arguably the best and friendliest mid-range place to stay not only in Windhoek, but in Namibia as a whole. Having visited more than 120 countries worldwide and consequently stayed in a good number of place, I truly, never have experienced such genuine hospitality, high level of service, and the enthusiastic interest they take in their guests. Truly unique!
Everything here is top notch, clean and efficient. Great breakfast. And because of the conducive environment, it is a great place to strike up a good conversation with fellow travellers - in short a place where the slogan «Bringing People Together» comes to frutition. I had planned to stay two nights, but ended up staying six (!). On my quest to experience and visit new countries, revisiting countries is not prioritized, but in the case of Namibia - and Renette and Dries - I might make an exception !
