De Vere Beaumont Estate

"We stayed in one of the green wing family rooms. Overall the room size was spacious and ample space for two adults with 2 toddlers. But the sofa bed which is meant for two kids, was absolutely shocking, the sofa bed had seen better days, and it dipped and Mattress was thing as paper, not comfortable for anyone to sleep on. These rooms don’t have air con, but the fan they supply to the room of this size is a table top desk can, 15cm in height. Overall on the face it, it was a well maintained outside hotel, good breakfast selection, but, the room did fail to meet expectations."

Macdonald Windsor Hotel

"Our room was a good size having upgraded to deluxe but cleaning did not happen as a matter of course.The service in Caleys restaurant was poor and the food was unimaginative. Breakfast buffet was cleared very promptly with the coffee machine being turned off first ,just before 10am so we were unable to finish our breakfast with a hot drink. A wonderful location but better ,more welcoming service would have improved our stay no end. The hotel seemed understaffed."

"From the moment my friend and I stepped out of the cab till the moment we left I was treated with absolute kindness, and genuine professionalism. The service was amazing, the general manager; Rochelle, was personal, friendly and extremely helpful acquiring taxi for all our adventures. She even helped me get to the garden shop and yarn barn miles away. The room was updated and immaculate, the bathroom was spacious and warm, and the breakfast was tasty. I loved the restaurant for our evening meal as it offered a large variety of yummy foods. Im an older woman with a challenging back and the staff hustled our luggage up the maze of stairs with the speed of an Olympian. 5 stars all the way and I will absolutely be back at the Sir Christopher Wren."

"This is an excellent hotel. Service from the front desk team was second to none. Room was clean and fresh, lovely reception area with some board games which we made lots of use of as a family and we were able to store our luggage. 100% recommend, a nice 10 minute walk into the centre of Windsor also. Excellent hotel."
