"One of the best independent pub hotels I have stayed in. Cannot fault the accommodation but the drive to and the parking in the village could prove challenging if you are not used to driving in rural single track areas. Great place"

"We received a lovely warm welcome. Lovely hotel. Nice location close to the beach. Lovely comfortable rooms with small en suite bathroom. Big plus for me was the kettle with plenty of tea, coffee and milk in the room. Will definitely book again when coming to Devon."

"Such a lovely place! The bedroom was spacious with a wonderfully comfy bed, and in room coffee bags, fresh milk and cake on arrival. Felt very spoilt! And to cap it all, breakfast was absolutely excellent."

"Nice little one night stopover visiting Bude.
Ample parking and easy to find. Straight road into Bude. A little isolated so make sure you buy supplies from Bude on the way back.
A few spiderwebs and bugs in the room when we arrived but only because the window was left open thankfully because it was such a hot day.
Paula the host was very helpful and friendly start to finish. Will stay again if we visit Bude again."

"To be honest, I wasn't expecting a huge amount as I know this is usually a student hall of residence. It was perfect for what we were looking for to be honest as we were there for our daughter's graduation.
I think my biggest disappointment was that the communal areas seemed to be air conditioned (or at least were very cool) yet entering the room was like entering an oven.. so we had to leave the window open overnight which unfortunately meant we were woken really early by the building works happening next to us.
Other than that, the room was fine, bed comfortable enough. I really liked the breakfast and, as I said, the location was perfect for our daughters graduation, although I think it is a bit out of town for the rest of Exeter."
"Very central location.
Excellent staff service, very efficient and friendly.
Room very clean but very warm despite having a fan so didn't sleep well although the bed was comfy.
Breakfast was excellent both quality and quantity and pricing👌."
"Sadly very noisy late at night
Air con and a hair dryer would be nice
Staff were very friendly
Only one hand towel in bathroom
Directions using the Hotels.com app were incorrect ☹️"
"Fantastic location along with great staff. The food was also excellent.
Close to Tiverton and the M5. Realy central to mid Devon and the moors.
Old world place with modern facilities, the staff ensure you are welcome and they are helpful at all times. Breakfast was great and many choices. Plenty of parking.
highly recommend it."
"This is annokd hotel maintained beautifully. The staff was very helpful. Taking the time to find me a room near the elevator which i really appreciated. I woukd not however recommend eating at thur restaurant, called the bank . I waited iver an hour, with noone advising me of the wait- and then the pork belly was dry and stringy- some parts inedible. To their credit tho they did not charge me for the meal. Its in the old part of town which also was nice."
"Lovely apartment, even had a sea view, had all we needed for a short break.
Good bathroom and nice towels and all very clean and tidy.
Would recommend a stay here"
