"Large typical German style hotel , some rooms & areas look a bit tired, excellent breakfast, disappointing meal in restaurant, very limited menu, bar closed at 10pm, we had a very quiet midweek stay with almost no guests in the hotel however the hotel caters for large disco events on the weekends so be aware ."

"I don't know what I liked more -- having the cozy restaurant w excellent food and drink on the ground floor; or our hotel rooms, each decorated uniquely with antiques; or the staff (always helpful and cheerful); or the neighborhood (close to the train station, where you can get a coffee at the Starbucks that opens at 5 AM if you wake up too early for the Stad Munster's restaurant. "

"Second time we have stayed here. The location is excellent. The outside space and grounds are beautiful The staff we met were lovely, very pleasant. The breakfast room is huge and we enjoyed the breakfast too Negatives: it’s extremely dated and in some places it is actually shabby. The bed(s) were singles pulled together, not fastened, so they separated if you turned over during the night. The beds also had very ill fitting toppers on them which also moved. So much so that my wife fell on the floor thinking she was leaning on the bed - but was actually just the mattress topper overhanging the mattress by about 6 inches! Overall this is a lovely place but could do with modernising. "
