hotel metro [now called woking hotel]

the hotel is very basic but clean so if you want a high standard dont go the best feature is its location smack bang in the town centre if your going for a night out in woking its ideal just roll out of a night club straight into bed [no taxis] and they have free free coke orangeade etc which was a life saver for me in the morning

Lacks proper maintenance

No water on the first morning and unable to have a shower during the stay due to lack of pressure. Bare electrical wires on the towel heater and a sad looking bath panel. Unable to turn off the heating so I resulted in having to leave the window open.

3 night stay for work

Located in the middle of town in the going out area. Nothing to offer in the Foyer entry area except dispensed softdrinks. Corridors to the room smelt of cigarette smoke, and a bit noisy . Infrastructure (lift) was slow and creaky. Stairs okay but wear and tear! The room was comfortable, The bed was firm. Everything worked in the bathroom but shower on somedays struggled in the hour before work to dispense a good hot shower. Comfortable nights sleep. Broadband didn't work anywhere except the foyer. Breakfast selection was limited but delivered on time. Staff friendly.

Never stay here

This is the worst Hotel I have EVER stayed in.The hotel was dirty, the staff were not professional, they didnt care about doing the right thing. When I got to my room and sat on the bed, I fell down a hole, the bed was broken,.There was no support at all, the first night I actually slept on the floor(after laying towels on it). They replaced the bed the next day.The shower ran cold water. The window was open, with no handles on it-I couldn't close it.The room was about 95 degrees.I was offered 25% off my first night, which I thought was an insult. the Hotel was across the street from a large pub, and inbetween sleezy night clubs.I actually had someone come and stay with me there, because I didn't really feel safe.I tried to go elsewhere but couldn't get a room. There was no parking, you cannot pull your car up infront of it because there is no road in front.I had to park on a multistory car park behind it and carry 4 suitcases to the Hotel room. A nightmare.Dont bother.

Probably the Best Hotel in Woking

The Metro Hotel which is now called Woking Hotel was a pleasure to visit. My husband and I were a bit apprenensive because firstly it seemed so cheap and also when we found out where it was which was opposite Weatherspoons in the middle of the town centre we thought we were going to have a bad experience. How wrong we were. The rooms werew e clean and well furnished and had free wifi throughout (you had to get the password from reception) and when we saw sky had no signal just rung down and they had sorted it within 10 minutes. There was free fizzy drinks downstairs and there were always plenty of plastic cups and if you run out of teabags or hot drinks you could always ask for more. The staff were vere very friendly and pleasant. We stayed for 2 nights and could of had clean linen each day and towels. As many extra pillows and blankets as we required. The room was very warm with a fan if needed. Clean bathroom with liquid soap and shower gel provided. All in all it was a very pleasant stay and we heard no sound from outside and the walls were thick enough that you didn't hear from adjacent rooms. We will be going to Woking quite often in the future as our daughter lives their with her husband and is about to have a baby so will be defineltly be a frequent customer of this Hotel
