It would be 5 star except the summer’s day was particularly hot and although there was a fan, there was no sheet - just a duvet, so this option could be provided when warm. The view from my room of the river was lovely though. The tap in room 204 can leak.

Lovely for a weekend away.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was comfortable and clean with a large bed. The restaurant and bar area is really lovely with very nice food. Location is also really good, with lovely views of the river and very close walking distance to the town centre. I would very much recommend a stay here.

Overall very good

First impressions were great however , we visited on a very hot day and found the room to be uncomfortable at night when trying to sleep, there was a fan available but it was so noisy we had to turn it off. When we opened the windows we were aware of the noise from the street and did not sleep well. The room was lovely and decorated to a high standard. Our evening meal was great however breakfast not so good. Overall this is a lovely hotel in a great location just not on extremely hot days .

Superb hotel and friendly staff

Excellent and worthy of this 2nd visit. Opulence throughout, no expense spared on making and keeping this hotel at a high level. Room, hotel, restaurant and food all of the very best quality. 1 star off as on both days breakfast took almost an hour. Location is perfect, public parking nearby.

This hotel is ideally located beside water with a beautiful boulevard for walking and a swan sanctuary within sight. The staff were extremely warm and helpful, and the food - we had lunch, dinner al fresco, and breakfast - was outstanding in quality. An excellent experience.

Superb one night stay

Great one night stay. Hospitality excellent. Zac very good at his job. Lovely evening meal and the breakfast, well the quality was outstanding, with great service and presentation. Best breakfast we've had for a very long time. Rhe only place as good is Galley Bay in Antigua. Will definitely return.

Beautiful Setting Fabulous Staff.

We loved the staff. They were so helpful. The glass of Prosecco was a lovely touch when we arrived. Love the late checkout and late breakfast option too. The only downside was the noise through the walls in the accommodation - heard literally everything!!! That meant sleep was an issue.

The room was gorgeous and in general, the location was perfect, very central and down by the river. But if you are a solo traveller and early riser, spending the evening in the room was made a bit sour because of the very loud music from the hotel restaurant, even through the closed window. Also, the WiFi was totally unreliable, which was annoying.
