"The property was in pleasant grounds, in an attractive village. There are a number of b and b rooms in the barn which is now an annex to the main house. The room had a high ceiling so was airy and spacious. The ensuite shower room was too. The bed could be a double or two singles so was large size and we found to be comfortable. There was a continental style breakfast to help yourself to in the dining room which also had a tv. I enjoyed watching the planes coming into land at the airport. These...

"Close to shops, restaurants, etc. easy to find, plenty of parking, beautiful surroundings, kind and helpful staff, everywhere is clean, food is delicious."
"Slightly odd stay. The hotel is down a little lane. I didn't realise that there was a charge for parking until I arrived. You need to ring a bell to get in to the hotel and then you get let it. As I arrived there were some people who thought they had a room booked but the person working there could not find it. I was then checked in and taken to my room. Nothing about the hotel was explained. As we went to my room, some parts of the hotel looked grand with impressive furishings, others looked like they were still being refurbished. I saw signs for a bar & restaurant - and a health club - and asked about the bar and restaurant but that did not actually exist yet. There was no food or drink in the hotel.
Access to my room was via a pin code rather than a key. I was concerned that the pin for my room was very simple and had a relationship to the room number so it may have been possible to work out the other pins for other rooms if they followed the same format. I wasn't given anything to show that I had checked in.
My room was large and comfortable with a desk, good wardrobe space and a good comfortable bed. There were plenty of sockets but no USBs. The bathroom was a decent size and had a shower over a bath.
The person who had checked me in didn't say much, and when I came to check out at around 7am there were no staff to be found anywhere in the hotel. After searching for some, I left a post it note to say I had checked out.

"Parking was easy, plenty of spaces. Book in was easy along with the helpful gentleman on duty. Room was clean and spacious. Only thing was the carpet needed a clean.
The breakfast was outstanding ans served by a very coutious lady. We will use the facility again sometime."
"The room was bright and clean and looked recently refurbished. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was fine except the shower wasn't powerful if you used the handheld head. However the fixed shower head was stronger if you didn't mind getting your hair wet!
What really stood out for me was the staff, especially the two brothers who worked there. They were customer friendly and engaging with smiles that lit up a room! A real credit to the hotel and a great asset. Many thanks to them for a lovely stay."
