"We were double booked into the house we had paid for but we were taken to a different one around the corner. For the price we paid it was adequate and clean. Sharing a bathroom with 3 lads who had also been double booked into the same house was not too much of a problem and having a fully functioning clean kitchen helped to catering costs reasonable. "

"The location and general atmosphere of the hotel impressed managing to combine the historic feel of a coaching hotel without feeling dated. The condition and facilities all felt modern and well thought out making it a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. We shall return to the Swan next trip. "

"Comfy, spacious rooms, cleanliness was excellent, lobby-restaurant-bar very nice decorated, very clean and convenient! Breakfast was fine and very well priced. We really enjoyed our stay. However, there is a little complaint which refers to smoking area, although this goes for almost every hotel, airport, public space in the UK. Smoking area should be a covered space with a few seats or a table as well. In this hotel there was a space outside the restaurant with a few tables that could be used by smokers although not covered. I think it's easy to find a way to serve smokers as well and treat them like human beings that we are."

"Used this hotel to break our journey up heading home from Taunton to Glasgow, doing so allowed us to spend more time exploring Devon and Cornwall on the Sunday, rather than having to leave early to get back to Glasgow at a reasonable time"

"Breakfast was excellent, very comfortable bed, pool facilities were nice, quiet and clean, the shower in the room fluctuated in temperature and there were limited vegan options at the resturant (would love to see simple tomato pasta on the menu) but otherwise an excellent stay"

"We stayed for 2 nights as it was close to Alton Towers. Hotel itself was quite dated and the bedside tables were ancient and well used but the hotel was really clean and the staff and service was fantastic, I would definitely stay here again x"
