Excellent hotel alternative!

Round this place on Expedia by chance on a week where ALL yellowknife hotels were booked solid. Price was great, room was clean, comfy, not to mention a soaker tub after sitting on airplanes for 9 hours enroute to Yellowknife. Had a little trouble reaching the staff via phone before getting there, however there was a note left on the door for me and keys waiting. The house is very nice, kept very tidy. Breakfast is also available, however did not have time to stay due to an early morning flight. Quiet residential area, however only a 5 minute drive to downtown and maybe 10 minutes from the airport. Will definitely be back next time I'm flying through Yellowknife.

The house was very cozy and comfortable. Definitely a home away from home. We loved the king size bed and the en-suite bathroom was perfect. The towels and toiletries were very nice quality. Frederick was an amazing host. He was very knowledgeable about the area and always available to help make your stay perfect. He really went above and beyond.

Great friendly spot in Yellowknife

Really lovely spot just out of town. Only a ten minute car ride away, and the lovely hosts will pick you up or drop you off anytime! Very friendly people, clean nice rooms, quiet tranquil area! Would highly recommend!

Nice and cozy house

We stayed three nights in Lou & Francis Guesthouse. The house is nicely decorated, warm and clean, and our room is very cozy. There is even a private cloak room which is very convenient for us in this cold weather when we have a lot of jackets and stuffs. Francis was very helpful and friendly, he also cooked good breakfast, too. We will definitely recommend this to all tourists who come to Yellowknife.

Wonderful stay and experience! 10/10!

It was an amazing experience to stay with Lou & Francis Guesthouse. I was a little bit worried as I normally stay in the hotel when I travel, however I was attracted by the photos from L&F posted at Hotels.com so I decided to give a try. We rent the car at airport and the drive to the guesthouse was easy enough (10 mins). The house is very cozy, clean and almost brand new. Service is very personal and thoughtful. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Yellowknife and I highly recommend this guesthouse to everyone with any trip purpose!

Nice room off the beaten path

My son and I enjoyed a two night stay. Room and en suite bath were clean and comfortable. Staff were accommodating. Transportation (small fee) was available and more cost effective than taxi.

Great Room

This room is so great , everything is brand new and clean, homeowner is very kind and nicely, and pick up fee is much lower than rent a car ,and location is not far from Yellowknife Airport, only take 5 minuets driving , wherever you want to go just ask homeowner ,if you want to come here , it is very good choice! By the way , I saw the Aurora from my room window!
