"Our hosts were absolutely wonderful! We stayed at Gibos for four nights and the home-cooked Turkish breakfast was superb every day. We were offered excellent recommendations on hikes, dinner options (Sinasos Wine House), and they made our hot air balloon ride reservations for us with a great company (we normally don’t do those kind of activities, but it was incredible!). We felt like family friends by the time we left. Do not hesitate to stay here if you would like an authentic cave hotel experience. Such a unique hotel! "

"We greatly enjoyed our three nights here in the family connected rooms. As far as we could tell we were the only guests on the property for a couple of nights, and our kids enjoyed having the run of the area and meeting the property's many cats and kittens. Of all the places we stayed on our three week vacation, breakfast at Cappadocia Estates was by far their favorite. We appreciated the quality and variety, and my 5yo is still talking about how much she loved their pancakes, post-trip. Reasons I can't give five stars: flooring panel coming up slightly in the primary bedroom when stepped on. A/C was available in the primary bedroom but not the kids' room downstairs. Which at the price point I would have expected. We could not get hot water in the room for sink or tub until maintenance turned it on for us after we couldn't figure out how to get hot water while showering. The tub released some black gunk into the water when using the jets. That said, it really is a beautiful estate with spacious rooms and outstanding staff, with minor need of updating or repair."

"Really nice cave hotel in the sleepy little town of Mustafapasa. Room was nice and cool (great to beat the blazing Cappadocia summer heat) and had an enormous bathroom. Delicious Turkish breakfast served daily and terrace is great for hanging out. It is on top of a hill so if you’re planning to walk, be aware of that. Hotel staff speak a little English but were very handy with Google Translate and helped us with all sorts of requests, including bus service, balloon rides, taxi service etc. Housekeeping every 2-3 days. Note that despite the address, this hotel is NOT in Urgup (which is what I thought when I booked). It’s in Mustafapasa, a small town about 11 min away from Urgup. If you’re driving or doing tours, it doesn’t really matter, but if you’re taking public transit it is somewhat inconvenient as you need to take the bus to Urgup before transferring to further destinations."

"This was the most spacious hotel room on my 3 weeks trip. The room impresses you from the first glance. It’s a true cave hotel and the room takes two levels in the cave. This may be a problem for people with mobility restrictions as the bathroom is located on the lower level. Also, the breakfast facility is nice but it’s in a different hotel about a quarter mile away. It was not a problem for me but keep this in mind. The reception is on the upper level of the hotel. It’s logical if you came from the upper street but seems strange if from the lower street. Again, it’s just something good to know. Overall a very nice hotel and I would stay there again. "

You can book with your eyes closed,it’s a gem for anyone wanting to discover Cappadocia in an authentic and peaceful setting."
