"This suited us perfectly. Two parents and a 13 yr old. It was warm and cozy, there's a sofa in one room, 2 chairs in the other and a dining table in the kitchen. WiFi was fast and free. We were in the lower apartment so we did hear walking about from the apartment upstairs, but the people staying above us were quiet so it wasn't an issue for us. However if you did get rowdy people above you it would be noisy in the lower apartment. The only other issue is the apartment front door that's a bit tricky to open, you get the knack after opening it a few times, and there's a sticker giving tips to open it. The sticker itself is a little disappointing as it's obvious been an issue for a while, so really should be rectified. Was a convenient base close to amenities served us well. We had a hire car and parking was available without any issues "
"The Ice hotel/bar was incredible!!! You can walk through and view the rooms and ice dining. We stayed in an igloo and saw the Northern Lights. They have an alarm that alerts you if they appear. Theres a great sauna to use also. I loved this property! We stayed in the Igloo one night and it was perfect!"
"I stayed here with my two children who are 11 and 7 years old. We had so much fun. Our stay allowed us two days in the park as well which was a bonus. The accommodation was lovely and the staff left a note from Santa for the boys as I had asked which was a lovely touch. We had a forest facing room which was beautiful. It was a real bonus to be able to use the sledding hill after the park had closed as my boys loved that. They even spotted the northern lights and pointed them out to me whilst we had the sledding hill to ourselves, that was magical. We opted for the half board option and we found the food really nice and a good variety. We loved the little kota huts for warming up and toasting marshmallows. Whilst we stayed we paid extra for the boys to do the mini snow mobiling which they loved and have been asking when they can get a snow mobile licence. We liked feeding the reindeers which was a walk between going from the restaurant to the accommodation area. We found all the staff nice and helpful. We tried cross country skiing for the first time, we also did ice skating. It overall just felt like such a magical time, where we could all have fun in the snow. Although the area ticket you need to go at 6, the staff allowed me to stay with my boys until 8:30pm so I could go straight to the airport, I really appreciated that. It saved me having to go round the city for hours. I thought it was a once in a lifetime trip but now I would really love to come back and hope
I do. "
"Hotel was clean and cozy and the staff was very nice and helpful. I arrived early before check in and was truly appreciative they were able to get me in the room early. Restaurant was great with a good variety of options, including at the buffet breakfast. I only wish the location was more central, there is nothing walking distance to it. If staying here I recommend having a car, or know you'll need to uber/taxi into town and back. Public transportation is very limited even during high season so it's not really an option. Despite this, I would definitely stay here again. "
"We had the most amazing time at Shaman Village. The igloo was beautiful, spotless and had everything we needed. We were lucky to see the northern lights and it was the perfect end to our trip. The owners were very kind and helpful. Shaman village is a small family run place in the forest, rich in history. If you get a chance, book a tour with the owner, it was also a great experience. I would recommend to anyone and I hope we can come back one day. What a wonderful experience we had! "
"The hotel was good in an isolated location. Nice place for kids. The swimming pool was under maintenance on the first 2 days. After we found out the pool was cold. We only paid for breakfast but it was far from any local restaurant so we ate at the hotel. Very expensive and not good. "
