"This was a very unique experience. The lodging was a shipping container and we went to sleep to the sound of coqui frogs and woke up to roosters crowing. The hosts were so personable and the breakfast was amazing, probably the best we had during our entire visit to the island. They have a friendly, but excitable dog. But once you are there, you will be enchanted with the amazing property, the views, the pool and all of the magical forest sounds around you. "Had an amazing family vacation at this hotel. Unless you are planning on staying at the hotel, I would definitely recommend renting a car to get around. The hotel enterance itself is long, therefore walking can take a while. The drive from San Juan airport is about 35min, El Yunque is about 17min drive, Old San Juan was about 45 min drive. There are several restaurants in the area thats about 15min drive.
The staff was very friendly, accomodating and welcoming. If you are traveling during the beginning of the week and not staying the weekend, there is not much night life at the hotel. We were told during the weekend they have a life band in the main lobby area. Food at the restaurant licated on the hotel premises was good but can get pricey. Overall we had a great time and would recommend this hotel. "
