An excellent stay, lovely greeting from Greg and Heather on arrival, with tea and home made cake,,,, delicious 😋. Spacious room and large cumfy double bed and lovely views of the gardens. Had two nights at April Cottage, but could gladly have spent more. Gorgeous breakfast after a good nights sleep,,, what’s not to like 😁
The property was in an ideal location for exploring the moors and surrounding areas and the hots were very accommodating.
Would recommend it to anyone intending to visit that location.
Heather and Greg made us extremely welcome in their home. The standard of the accommodation and the breakfast was exceptional. The Blacksmiths Arms in the village provide good food and a well cared for beers. We would certainly consider staying at April Cottage again.
Wow very enjoyable stay treated like royalty really made us feel welcome, gave us advice on how to get to our planned visits, and couldnt ha e been more welcoming
Our stay at April cottage was delightful and in a beautiful setting. Heather and her family gave us a warm welcome and could not do enough for us. The rooms were immaculately clean and fresh and it was a pleasure to stay there and we will definitely be back.

A charming b&b in the North York Moors National Pk
April Cottage was the perfect location for our get away in Yorkshire. The accommodation was immaculate and the owner was very very helpful. The b and b was run by a very charming family who made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Thoroughly recommended.
What an amazing place we loved it. Hosts are so welcoming and friendly. We had two wonderful nights at April Cottage last week wish it had been longer. It’s perfect! The breakfast is awesome really sets you up for the day. And Lastingham is a picturesque quiet village with a lovely pub for food.
Great place to stay, wonderful annex to a lovely old stone cottage. The family were very friendly( and busy) and gave us good advice on local amenities. Breakfast was incredible with good fresh produce. They only have the one room to let with it's own lounge/dining room which was quiet and very homely.
The Blacksmiths Arms provided all the other food and drink requirements and the locals were both friendly, welcoming and amusing (possibly unintentionally).
We would love to go back and do some walking on the moors another time.
Lovely room with really nice touches, very friendly hosts with a feast of a breakfast. Would highly recommend this B & B for anyone wanting to stay in this lovely part of the country.
Superb location, very quiet, on the North York Moors. The hosts were very friendly and made us very welcome. We had sole use of the sitting/breakfast room.
A lovely w/end spent with great accommodation , great b/fasts & great hosts in Greg & Heather.Lastingham is a lovely secluded village with a pub which also does top quality food. Bliss
As you go in the back door of the house, the family live on the right and the B&B bedroom & sitting room are on the left. Both are very nicely furnished, immaculately clean, with everything you need. Lovely soft towels. Good sized shower room with walk in shower.
The sitting room is downstairs, directly below the bedroom, and is for guests use. As they only let out one room, it means you have an exclusive, really pleasant sitting room/breakfast room. Both rooms have a view into a nice garden that's not visible from the road. Running around were 2 black chickens and a black pheasant.
The hosts are very friendly and made us feel welcome. The breakfast was huge and really good quality. Fresh fruit, cereals, fresh home baked bread and croissants, and a cooked full English. We skipped the full English the second day because we enjoyed the cold stuff so much and were just full. Certainly we would like to return, we think it's one of the best B&B's we've stayed in.
Lastingham is a very nice village. We ate in the village pub which is just a few minutes’ walk. The locals were very welcoming and the food was good too. All in all a really pleasant few days.
We had a wonderful , relaxing stay at April Cottage in a room which exceeded our expectations. Beautifully laid out and decorated, loads of space and amazing views! The whole experience was topped off by a lavish breakfast with home baked bead and cooked breakfast and the friendly advice of our host Greg. Will definitely book again.
The hosts were friendly and welcoming, and the surroundings were beautiful -- a charming village in an ideal location for exploring the moors. (And there is a good pub just a few minutes' walk away.)
The room was nicely furnished, the breakfasts were excellent, and we especially appreciated the lovely sitting- and breakfast-room, where we could have tea at any time.
