The Nelson House was the home of Thomas Nelson, Jr. (1738-89), Yorktown's most famous son and one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. Nelson's devotion to the patriot cause during the American Revolution contributed significantly to the creation of the United States.
The town was only open for the walking tour and closed for driving due to the weather- which means it was free! (We asked the front desk) it was wonderful to have the place to ourselves. Will definitely go back in the spring/summer.

It was the most unsanitary and filthy environment. Cabinets, toilets and stove were dirty. You had to pay for WiFi and only one tv would work at a time. The signal kept getting lost. This was my second time staying at this location and I'm definitely planning on staying again in the future!! Room was clean, staff is Awesome, especially The gentlemen at the front desk, Ryan. I am happy with my choice and would definitely recommend The Red Roof inn to anyone who asks.
