This was a very pet friendly hotel, and it was really convenient to be able to go downstairs and next door to the cafe for breakfast. Breakfast was okay. I've had better and I've had worse. Good news, if you want better coffee or a meal, restaurants are everywhere. The location is perfect if you want to be in the center of town right in the middle of everything. Really excellent dining and a nice park very nearby. Also, reasonable parking. We went in the offseason so it was extremely quiet at night. My only concern was that I wanted my little veranda to be a little bit more useful-- it was nice to be able to open the veranda door, but I didn't dare step out on it or let my dog step out on it, there were some broken boards. The woman who was working the reception desk was very kind! I would stay here again if this met my needs like it did this time!

This is such a pleasant and quirky inn. My 'blue room' was filled with antiques and knick knacks, just like in the pictures. Self check-in was simple and handy. The breakfast, at Cafe Moller next door, was pleasant and varied, with friendly service. Johan, the manager of Cameo, was also quick to respond to any inquiries, and always kept a heaping bowl of fresh fruit in the lounge for guests. That was a lovely extra touch.

Quite and peaceful as it was an October stay, close to everything, very clean. Nice beds. One of the nicest boutique hotels I’ve visited

First experience was wow! The room was really amazing - especially when I arrived when the evening was dimming. There’s everything needed. The breakfast on the other hand, arranged in the cafeteria next door, wasn’t splended but ok. I suppose they’re renovating their own breakfast room. All and all, really pleasant stay - definitely worth recommending!

i am very familiar to Sweden, especially Ystad and Simrishamn, but that’s not a very important factor, when it comes to why i love that hotel. I wish there were a way to upload photos and videos to give a more detailed review. First of all, i am a big fan of antics and buildings that have been around for decades, and this building offers that sort of reach into the past vibe. The rooms and hallways are adorned with interesting portraits and posters of artists and celebrities, and it’s one of those places that still use an actual key to access the rooms (there’s a digital entry at the main entrance as well. Everything is nearby, the city hall, the train station, lots of shops and restaurants, all within 2-15 minutes from the hotel. Do not rent a car. it is simply NOT needed! I had the privilege to enjoy breakfast at one of the locations where they shot the tv series Wallander (Netflix.) My room opened into the small courtyard, and it was simply a much appreciated add-on. If you’re a writer and want to have some quiet time to chill or write…this is a place to consider. I will definitely go back, despite having the option to stay with friends and family.

This is my second time staying here while in Ystad. Perfectly located, I can’t say enough good things about Cameo. Johan the owner is fantastic and makes sure you have everything you need for a great stay. Highly recommended! Tack!

Tiny room

A tiny room with a toilet in one corner and the shower in the another. That is, you have to cross the entire room to walk from the toilet to the shower. Not an issue for all but we found it inconvenient. There are many decorations in this tiny room so there is almost no room left to store your belongings. The breakfast in the cafe nearby is okay, but the experience was quite crude.

Hotellet är väldigt mysigt och ligger perfekt på gågatan. Personalen är mycket trevlig. Frukosten i cafeet intill var väl ok men damen som jobbade där var väldigt trist och hälsade inte ens när man kom. Synd att frukostdamen drar ner betyget lite på ett fantastiskt fint hotell!
