"We had a fantastic couple of nights' stay at Stitch & Stones, which is ideally situated near all the main sights in Gjirokaster, near the castle, the bazaar and lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The rooms are beautifully designed with a very high standard of finish. We were welcomed by the owner and given our choice of rooms. Breakfast is provided by the restaurant on the ground floor and it was fresh and tasty, and there is a lovely roof terrace bar which we visited several times for drinks at sunset, looking out over over the town and surrounding valley. If this place is available, don't hesitate to book! A real hidden gem in Gjirokaster!"

The spa and sauna were absolutely amazing and I’m sure the outdoor pool would be a huge bonus when warmer. "Tough to get to but nice parking area. Google Maps takes you the wrong way so lookout. My room heater didn’t work and the lights in the bedrooms area didn’t work so had to depend on the glow from the bathroom light which did work. One of two small night stands didn’t work and the one that did had a short circuit so it went on and off. Breakfast was really weak but a very nice effort. This is a small place so it’s great if your expectations are in proper alignment. Location is fantastic. Staff very friendly. "

Couple of the staff on in the evening were a bit cold & unfortunately we couldn't do the full experience with the gin or the raki either. Breakfast was great though & overall a nice place to stay in the depths of Albania."
