"This is my go to place to stay when making a pit stop between Big Bend and Dallas. The staff has always been friendly. The hotel is beautifully restored. The beds are comfortable. I'm sure I'll be here again."
"Nice hotel. Conveniently located . Check in was easy. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was better than other places we have stayed. We would stay here again."
"This is a brand-new property. It was very clean and was a very nice stay overall.
My room had a walk-in shower (very nice), but I am compelled to mention that the floor of the shower was dangerously slippery - I felt very uneasy getting in/out of the shower and even turning side to side. I did mention the issue to the hotel staff on departure. I am sure they were unaware of the issue, and I hope they have taken steps to resolve it."
"The staff were very nice and helpful. The only good thing I can say.
The property was dark and it was very hard to see room numbers. I had to have my 12 year old walk around and find the room. There were a whole bunch of bugs outside the door of the room and every time we opened the doors the bugs came in. There were tiny black bugs in both beds. The whole room was incredibly tiny. There were two full beds in a room too small for even one full bed, and only room for one person to walk in any direction at anytime. There were no chairs and the only place to sit was the bed. In order to get two people in the bed, One person had to climb over the first person or climb into the bed from the end of the bed. For an old person that is impossible.
We did not spend the night. I checked out within one hour and went to another hotel.
The hotel attendant did offer to re-clean the room, however my kids were panicky and itchy from the idea of bugs. I would not stay there again and will not recommend to anyone."
"Very run down, overall the property outside & inside needs sprucing up. Walls, floors need painting, fixing. Carpets need to be cleaned or replaced. The room & beds were clean, but the towels were dingy & bathroom needed updating. I also wasn’t happy that there’s a security deposit! I overlooked that when I booked. Lesson learned! I was disappointed with this specific hotel property!"
