"We were visiting from the US and visiting Colditz Castle. This stop was wonderful with clean, quiet, comfortable accommodations. The water park is a big hit with the locals and visitors alike. Some of the best food we had on our trip. I'd definitely choose to stay again."

"This hotel was more "western" in the room size and overall expanse. We used the hotel as a base to search neighboring towns for genealogical clues to my fathers relatives. Nice big room and bathroom. Delicious breakfast (and dinner one night). Paid parking was onsite and convenient. The showerhead was in rough shape, but it was the weekend and I guess the maintenance staff wasn't available, as it didn't get fixed. Nonetheless, a perfectly enjoyable hotel stay."

"The hotel physical condition was average. It is an old hotel so it is very normal and the personnel was soooo helpful and smiling. "The hotel was bad even by the standard of these budget hotels. The worst thing was that the reception was closed and I couldn’t check in after 10 pm even though they were happy to take my booking after 10 pm. Then a very grumpy lady came out to check me in. It wasn’t her fault, it’s the way the system was designed, but it was unpleasant for me, I was on the road for the whole day and was tired and wanted to sleep but I had to deal with how do I get in and then she if that woman had not come out and helped me I would have had to find another place."

"The checkin was really unprofessional, nothing was prepared, all data had to be filled out again on paper, the staff was absolutely not welcoming. They did not even inform me about a 25 EUR early checkin fee upfront. They gave me a room right above the smoking area. It smelled and was noisy. At the checkout they claimed I had breakfast. Never did and never ordered it. The front desk staff was not welcoming or friendly at all. Not what I expected at this house. Poor!"

"Stayed here one night because of the lack of affordable accommodation in Leipzig. Hotel is across the road from the train station, making it convenient to get to Leipzig, which was our main priority. Hotel is surrounded by woodland and has parking available. Rooms are on the small side, but the biggest issue was that there is no air-conditioning (only a portable fan) or a fridge in the rooms and as they are on the top floor, they become stifling in the summer heat. You can't open the windows as there are mosquitos but no flyscreens. Staff were helpful with providing details on train times, etc."
