The stay met my immediate needs and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable stay. The desk staff was very accommodating and always provided customer care with kindness, patience and respect. The accommodations were clean and pest-free. The hospitality if the staff and the clean, sanitary environment makes Clarion a great place to stay.
Hotel was definitely showing its age. Desk staff made an inappropriate comment about several other guests when checking in. Sink was cracked and leaky. Given its proximity to the Savannah Highway, the rooms were surprisingly quiet. Breakfast offerings were minimal.
Our stay was great! The hotel was very clean, room was clean, and aside from occasional whiff of marijuana (which the owners kept spraying air freshener for) it was a delightful and cheap stay. They are remodeling so the breakfast left a little to be desired but its definitely a huge upgrade from the past. Id love to stay again!

The room was spacious. The property needs a little TLC; however, the staff was very accommodating, friendly, and professional. There’s nothing they can do about that. Is it somewhere I’d book for the whole family, no; but for travelers, you can’t beat the rate and it’s in a safe area.
I appreciated the low price for the weekend but the facility and our room was in poor repair: baseboards coming off, dirty carpet with holes, broken toilet seat cover, dirty walls, killed a roach the first night.
The breakfast buffet was good but would have liked some bread for toast and bagels.

Mr. Burke was a wonderful cook and greater. He was very polite and helped with everything. 🇺🇸The staff was “very polite”. Room was clean, comfortable. Missed not having the pool. Need more housekeeping staff. A toaster maybe.
Overall…great week. Thank You

The room was large and nice, but...
I stayed in a 2Queen Bedroom for two nights. The location, surrounding environment, and staff service were good. Also, having the bedroom and living room separated by a door, with a mini-kitchen in between, was very nice. However, there were some points that concerned me. The first room I was shown had a door that was difficult to close; I had to slam it shut with force. The next room they showed us had a slight musty smell inside. Standing barefoot on the carpeted floor made my socks wet. The ceiling light bulb was missing, making the room dark. Also, the bathroom fan wouldn't turn on even when the switch was on. Since it's a budget hotel, maybe this is what you get.
The living room area was separated from the bedroom. Bathroom also separated from bedroom area. Nice. I wish it did have a mini stove for simple cooking purposes. Although you possibly could bring a hot plate. Just ask them first.
I was really nervous to stay here after reading the reviews (I’m a 24 year old female who was traveling alone).. but I was pleasantly surprised!
I think most of the reviews previously were just racist people? Cause there were lots of people and some long term guests but everyone was friendly and no one bothered me, it was quiet, and I felt safe.
The lady who works the front desk is very nice! We chatted for a while and she gave me some local recommendations.
The room was also really nice. Sure the carpets could use some updating but it was clean, bathroom was bigger than I expected and the bedroom was big, set up like an apartment so I can’t complain!
Given the price-point of $200+ per night, I can't recommend this hotel to anyone. If this had hovered more in the low-$100 range it probably would have been okay-ish. As it stands, the room was incredibly warm despite the thermostat being turned down. The shower had zero cold water whatsoever. I mean, the shower had 2 temperatures, scalding hot and face of the sun. That's it. The toilet was wobbly, I noticed sombody had repaired this by shoving a piece of folded paper under it. The bathroom was in the process of a remodel I assume, since the wiring for the lights was exposed with open wall showing. Again, at a budget price, these are all things you can shrug off. As it is, there is nothing of note close enough to justify that price in that condition. On the plus side, everyone there was incredibly friendly.
For $175 a night the room was horrible! Other reviews here are wrong! But, staff was friendly.
Problems with our stay was: Over use of several different fragrances to hide smells. Shower head was broken and far to low to be comfortable. Shower rod was broken and hanging down about 4" or eye level for me, being 6'1". Room was to include a fold out couch, however, we got a room with two disgustingly nasty chairs that was dirty and had burn marks on them, despite being a 100% smoke free building.A thin white window shade has a burn mark and stains and did little to block the bright lights from the boat yard, next door. The bed is very squeaky, dirty and likely original to the building. This short list could go much longer
but, you get the message. Also, The breakfast is horrible and the cheapest they can provide. No meats and no fruits provided!
