Beautiful hotel, great location on the beach. The pool is only inside- but the sea is right there. Tons of restaurants and a board walk. A lot of things for young kids. If you prefer pools this is not your place, it is inside and small, but beautiful Hotel (we really liked it and would recommend to a friend)

Great view of the North Sea and beach! Our suite was very nice, but the furniture needed some updating! Also, the air conditioner was extremely noisy and when it was on, it stayed on without shutting down when the temperature reached its point… Was disappointed that there was no common areas in the hotel for sitting as opposed to just staying in your room!

Absolutely must-visit hotel, nice spa, spacious lobby, great bar. I was completely satisfied and would like to be back, just a small note- beds in twin room are extremely small. Next time only DBL bed please

Very convenient arrival from the tram. Hotel is nice, although the rooms are a bit dated. Perfect location to head to the beach and all it offers. Wifi signal was pretty weak from the room, but possibly because we were on the end. Shower is a bit difficult to climb into if you're on the shorter side. All in, I'd definitely recommend this historic hotel and would stay there again if I return to the area.

The hotel lobby and hall are among the most beautiful I have seen in any hotel. Which made it even more of a shame to discover that the room itself was so disappointingly average. Was also rather irritated to receive a phone call 10 minutes after checking in to inform me that I needed to pay more city tax on top of my bill, which had already been settled.

€47 euros a day parking!!!!!

It was ok. Relied very much on how grand the place was. The mattress’ were extremely soft. My double bed was 2 singles pushed together so was very uncomfortable as they kept moving. It wasn’t a bad stay just not great! Just so other guests know it’s €47 a day to park!!!!! Crazy

This is a great place to stay on the beach, the area is a bit dangerous at night. When we arrived, we saw two teens doing drugs outside, you are right next to a casino. The room was very nice, sheets and bed were great. The tub was very very dangerous. The shower was in the tub, it was a big step down. I had to ask for help out of the bathtub as I'm not too tall. It was slippery too. The breakfast was almost like an American Breakfast, it was really good.

I was really disappointed. First of all the reception is massively understaffed and not well trained. There were a lot of communication problems and also long lines for check in and check out. The staff would constantly run around and ask other colleagues about what to do and how to solve problems. It felt like only one or two people knew what to do and the rest all had their first day at work. Super frustrating. The room was also not what we expected. It was very tiny and the view was terrible. There was a dirty balcony with shattered glass and joint stubs lying around. The biggest disappointment was definitely the spa. The pool is super tiny and it was full of children. There was no way to relax or enjoy the time since it was very crowded and the pool has the size to fit maximum 6 people without getting jumped by kids. All in all the building is beautiful and the location is also amazing but this hotel is definetly not worth the price and I won’t recommend a stay if you came for recreation.

I loved everything except the glass bathroom door. It’s just personal, you can hear everything and when the light is on at night you wake everyone up. But the hotel is amazing, the staff are lovely and the views are incredible. The buffet breakfast option at Waves is well worth it.
